This is my review after getting non-incisional double eyelid surgery and canthoplasty in all directions: inner, outer, and lower. Just letting you know in advance, it's long haha If you want to read it briefly, the summary is at the very bottom.
I had inner double eyelids, so when I was young, I didn't really feel much need for it. I already had natural double eyelids, so why bother with plastic surgery? Honestly, I was scared, and friends around me who had it done had swelling that lasted a really long time, so I was too afraid and spent my 20s without doing it.
Because of the disadvantages of inner double eyelids, I had to draw eyeliner thickly for it to barely show, and my double eyelid line changed every time depending on swelling, so I eventually got it done in my 30s. It was my first cosmetic surgery in life, so I was really nervous.
The place where I eventually decided to have surgery was a plastic surgery clinic where an acquaintance had surgery first. It's closed now, so I won't mention the clinic name or the director.
Before that, I went for consultations at every plastic surgery clinic on the list I had in mind. While looking around, honestly, I wasn't that drawn to this place. But my acquaintance strongly recommended it, and we both had time, so I went for a consultation together with them. In the end, I liked it more than the other plastic surgery clinics I had consulted at before, so I decided on it. Since it was through an acquaintance, I had seen the results, and the price advantage was also big. Plus, I liked both the doctor and the consultant, so I went ahead.
The director who gave me new eyes has actually closed the clinic now, and I don't know where they are working Honestly, there were a lot of negative reviews, so that's why I had been hesitant, but unlike that, my eyes and my acquaintance's eyes turned out really well. But in the plastic surgery market, reviews are very important, and I wonder if maybe they closed the clinic due to other personal circumstances or various issues.
My eyes were originally uneven, but since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I really thought the swelling and everything meant the line was wrong, and because it was my first surgery in life, when the swelling hadn't fully gone down at the 1-month mark, I cried and made a huge fuss at the clinic, asking if this had gone wrong. The director calmed me down personally. Both the consultant and director comforted me well, and they promised that if something had gone wrong, they would redo it while only charging a small anesthesia fee. Later, because the outer and lower canthoplasty didn't have that much effect, they took responsibility and redid it.
Now, 2 years later, my eyes have become larger very naturally. The line is semi-out. It was my first surgery, so I wondered if I should just get natural double eyelid surgery, but while consulting, I realized my true wish was to have bigger eyes. So my acquaintance only got non-incisional double eyelid surgery, but I got non-incisional double eyelid surgery plus canthoplasty in all directions. The plastic surgery clinic I went to was actually run by a director more famous for very glamorous lines. It seemed that many middle-aged people also came, and if you wanted a natural look, they would do that too. Looking back now, I think I succeeded because the director and I communicated well during the design consultation. If small, narrow eyes want to get bigger, maybe full tuning really is the answer. With a bare face, I can see a slight inner canthoplasty scar, but from around the 1-year point, people just see them as my natural eyes without surgery. From around 6 months, they did start to feel natural.
After doing it, I like how everything looks even with makeup, and when bare-faced, I stopped obsessing over eyelash extensions. My eyes are still small and narrow, but compared with before, I don't have to edit my eye size much in photos, so I like that. For something like this, I really worried about it unnecessarily for over 10 years.

I pursued a natural look, but for small, narrow eyes, it seems you really need a slightly glamorous full tuning for the effect to be maximized at least somewhat. After 2 years, even after doing everything, it looks very natural... I'm satisfied both bare-faced and with makeup. I wish I hadn't been scared and had done it earlier!!
