Which hospital should I choose? And Should I get ptosis correction? Or not? I worried a lot,,
In the end, I made my final decision on Iwabaek, which recommended only buried-suture double eyelid surgery without ptosis correction, and I booked the surgery date right away and had the surgery under local anesthesia.
One thing I was really curious about before surgery! I’ll write my honest experience~
First, local anesthesia without sedation! The surgical process does hurt. But it’s bearable. To describe how much, you know the pain when an ophthalmologist lances a stye?! It was about half of that pain. For something done cosmetically, it was manageable. Honestly, I’m the type who is scared of scaling and can’t really get it done well. Since even I endured it, that means it’s bearable But the pain in both eyes wasn’t the same,, After one side, I thought to myself the other side would be similar, but then I was like, ah,, it’s different,, haha The pain was one thing, but during surgery I also had scary thoughts. Because I could clearly feel the needle passing through and piercing the skin, dumb thoughts briefly crossed my mind like, what if my eyeball gets damaged, what if I go blind~
Anyway, right after surgery my eyes stung a lot, and my left eye swelled severely and had a lot of eye discharge, to the point that my vision looked blurry. I asked them to set it as a semi-out line, slightly higher than my existing double eyelid line, and for my left eye, which another hospital had recommended ptosis correction for, they said they would try to catch it as much as possible while doing the buried sutures, but it didn’t seem like they did any other procedure in particular.
Today is the 3rd day after stitch removal, and I think the bruising and swelling are pretty severe on my left eye
The hospital also said first, without me even asking, that the two sides only look different in height because the swelling is going down differently on each side
How does it look to everyone here? I guess I should wait more, right? My mom is worried and says it looks like my eyes became even more uneven^^;
