But the downside of a natural-looking nose is that it was so natural that it didn’t look like I had nose surgery at all My nose before surgery wasn’t even that low, but since I got it done naturally on top of that, I ended up feeling like the money was wasted and regretted it.. When I looked at influencers’ or actors’ noses, they looked refined and pretty, and I kept thinking, why didn’t I do it like that from the start? Even though it was a surgically done nose, I was also bothered that my nostril wings were too wide. I felt like the longer I delayed it, the more depressed I would get, so as soon as I decided on revision surgery, I immediately looked for hospitals and went around for consultations.
Because I had such lingering regret about wanting a naturally glamorous nose I narrowed down a list of hospitals famous for revision surgery, and among those, I looked at reviews and narrowed it down again to hospitals that were good at making the sharp, high nose I liked, then visited them. I think I went to enough hospitals.. Most hospitals said that since septal cartilage was used during my first surgery, for revision surgery I absolutely had to use either donor rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage. Of course they would know better than me since they’re experts, but the way they roughly guessed in advance, saying it would probably be like this~ and recommended materials didn’t feel particularly trustworthy. In that situation.. this place took both photos and a CT before the consultation, and during the consultation I looked at the CT images together with the director, so I couldn’t help but compare it with the others..
The director looked at the CT and said the septal cartilage could be used, but it seemed like it wouldn’t be enough, so there was an option to use another material together, or not touch the septal cartilage and do the revision entirely with rib cartilage. Since he gave me options like that, I was more drawn to it from my perspective Throughout the consultation, he said it was important to operate in harmony with my face, and carefully looked from the front and side while checking the design, which I liked. The manager kept going back and forth between the consultation room and the desk and really tried hard to match the surgery date with me as much as possible. Thankfully, I booked a suitable date before leaving
For the materials, silicone was put in the nasal bridge, and for the nasal tip, septal cartilage + ear cartilage were used together, with donor rib cartilage used for the part that was lacking. Since septal cartilage and ear cartilage were going to be used together anyway and I didn’t need that much, I think I didn’t spend long worrying about the material because opening my ribs to use autologous costal cartilage felt burdensome Personally, there wasn’t anything hugely uncomfortable, but the one thing that was hardest for me was having my nose blocked with cotton Still, maybe because it was my second time, I had more know-how than during my first surgery, so I ran the humidifier a lot and rested well. At one week, when the splint was removed, I could see the bruising turning yellow as it faded.
Even at one week, I thought my nose had turned out pretty, but looking at it like this, there was definitely some swelling, right? People usually say the nasal tip that was high comes down as swelling goes down, but for me, rather than the nasal tip coming down, it felt like my horizontally bulky nose was gradually settling into a slimmer shape
Even right before going into surgery, what I emphasized was that I wanted the nostril wings to be firmly narrowed and that I didn’t want an overly burdensome height. Even without separate correction, the revision surgery alone narrowed my nostril wings a lot and gave me the sharp shape I wanted, so I’m thinking it was good that I got the revision surgery~ On the other hand, I also wonder whether I would have needed revision surgery if I had researched properly from the beginning and had surgery in a shape that suited me I’m trying to think that what’s good is good and live positively Yeah, at least I got the revision surgery now
Everyone looking into first surgery or revision surgery, don’t regret it like I did I hope you have surgery only after carefully checking whether they can shape it the way you want, whether they look at the overall harmony, whether the director’s consultation feels trustworthy, and so on..!
