You can call it prejudice and criticize me, but I can't help it, I don't really like plastic surgery clinics clustered around Gangnam Station They just somehow feel too factory-like, so I feel like the prognosis won't be good... So even while looking into double eyelid surgery, I excluded hospitals located around there from my list as much as possible.
I think eyes determine 80% of a person's first impression. That's why I'm more worried and looking into it more, and I only want to slightly improve my drooping eyelids. At my age, I'm not suddenly hoping for Jang Won-young or Karina big eyes or anything like that. While doing that, on an app and in this community, one doctor's surgical skill stood out to me. Medical accidents? There didn't seem to be reviews like that either. The problem is that he moves clinics too often, every 1 to 1.5 years.
If you look up reviews for that doctor, the hospital is different every year. Still, I wanted to get a consultation, so I looked up the hospital where he currently works, and it was at Gangnam Station.
Still, I wanted to get a consultation, so I went.
As I said earlier, at my age, would I be hoping for Karina or anything?
So I don't need ptosis correction or canthoplasty, and honestly, I don't even need an incision. Even if it comes undone later, I'd be fine with non-incisional suturing or natural adhesion, just hoping my truly drooping eyelids improve slightly.
That factory-style system (sorry, but I can't think of another expression) was consultant - director - consultant.
After seeing my sunken eyes + drooping eyelids, the consultant mentioned fat grafting + incision.
Then the director came in, agreed with that, and said ptosis correction also had to be added and that a new line had to be made.
I said I didn't want ptosis correction because I've seen so many side effects from it, and he said then the line wouldn't come out. He said that happens when you receive it from someone who can't do it. (Well, but even if a director has never had a medical accident, there's no rule saying he won't have one on my turn.)
For fat grafting, since these are my first eyes, he said it can be done with autologous fat repositioning. (But my question is, I already have sunken eyes because I don't have fat, so where are they going to get fat to reposition from these eyelids?)
But I must have been crazy too, like I was possessed by something. After hearing the consultant say she'd do it for a total of 1.9 million won, I impulsively made a reservation, but after booking it and coming home, I couldn't sleep, and in my dream there was a video of me with extremely bizarre eyeballs, crying nonstop.
In the end, as soon as dawn came, I messaged the consultant asking her to cancel, and in the morning I called the hospital asking them to cancel.
Seriously, when making the consultation reservation, the hospital was so easy to reach, but for cancellation, they were ridiculously hard to contact haha I don't know what they're saying, but since card companies are closed on weekends, they said they'd cancel it on Monday or Tuesday, but the cancellation mark still hasn't appeared. If it really doesn't work, I'll wait until Tuesday and go to the hospital.
The consultation itself wasn't bad, but in my opinion, at my age (sorry for mentioning age again, I'm 44 in Yoon Suk Yeol age), what great wealth and glory am I trying to enjoy? I think doing too much of this and that just maximized my fear.
Of course, as you can tell from the fact that I'm still hanging around this community, I still have lingering feelings, and I really hope that even deeply sunken eyes like mine can be done with non-incisional suturing. Even if it comes undone.
