As you can tell from my posts, I had surgery on 2022/12/17!
It has been exactly about a year and a half now, and the difference between right after surgery and now is that my nose feels very, very slightly lower. But my nose was originally so, so collapsed and unattractive that I had the surgery because I wanted it to become even just a little prettier, even if it was not obvious, rather than making it look too noticeable, so I have absolutely no complaints! I know it is basically accepted that a bulbous nose only looks prettier if it is overcorrected, but I still wanted a natural result. Right after surgery, I had no splint, no bleeding, no bruising, and almost no swelling! Sometimes when I see Winter or celebrities with high noses, I think, “Should I have made mine that high and glamorous too??” But then when I see acquaintances whose noses were raised excessively and look foreign to the face, like a set square, I feel that choosing a natural result was really the right decision.
What I want to say is that most people with bulbous noses likely have thick facial skin. That is why people excessively remove tissue or build the nose up high when they want a dramatic effect. But if you have deep or thick double eyelids, or if your facial features other than your nose are already quite strong, I do not recommend overcorrection! After surgery, I realized that the impression the nose gives on the face is much bigger than I had thought. I have large eyes and a glamorous-looking impression, so if my nose were glamorous too, there would be a high chance my impression would become much stronger. So if you think carefully and raise it moderately, you really will not regret it.
