Failed Revision Surgery

It has been a little over 2 years since I had surgery with the buried suture method in June 2020. (The photo was taken in June 2022.)

I had surgery with the buried suture method because I did not want scars, but the result is severe scarring, and the line is uneven and not smooth.

Six months after the first surgery, I asked because the line was uneven and the scarring seemed severe, but the answer I got was to wait 2 years.

In 2022, after 2 years had passed, the scarring was still severe and the line was uneven, making it look unnatural even when my eyes were open, so I requested a refund, but my request was ignored.

Doctors are not machines, so they can make mistakes and may lack skill. However, in my experience, this hospital is not the kind of hospital that takes responsibility and apologizes when the result goes wrong. If you are considering surgery, I hope you go to a hospital with a little more skill and responsibility.

For reference, afterward I visited several hospitals for consultations about undoing the double eyelids and removing the scars, but I am currently in a situation where revision surgery cannot be done, and I heard the same answer from 3 places that surgery would only be possible when I am much older and my eyelids have drooped.

I hope this is at least a little helpful to those considering surgery.
