Hello! This is my 8-month review of Soda Plastic Surgery / Director Kwon Jae-hyun / 3 facial contouring procedures, forehead fat grafting, and chin liposuction!
- First of all, the reason I decided to get facial contouring surgery was that I always disliked how my face looked broad, with developed cheekbones and a square jaw, giving me a masculine impression, so I wanted to improve those areas. Whenever I took photos, my self-esteem dropped, and because I didn’t have a feminine feel, I was often told that my image looked strong. To improve that, facial contouring surgery really was the only answer. Even after dieting, getting lifting treatments regularly, contouring injections, hair transplant procedures, and many other treatments, they were not fundamental solutions. So I decided to have surgery.
The reasons I chose Soda Plastic Surgery were:
1. Whether the doctor was a board-certified plastic surgeon 2. Whether the doctor’s surgical career was not excessively long (I excluded doctors who were too old because their trend sense didn’t match mine) 3. Whether it was a single-director clinic, and whether an anesthesiologist was separately on-site 4. Whether the surgery direction reflected my requests as much as possible, aiming for glamorous + natural, rather than insisting only on the director’s own style 5. Whether, during consultation, they listened carefully to everything I said without cutting me off and took it into consideration 6. Whether the doctor specialized only in facial contouring 7. Whether there were no bad comments regarding side effects
I checked all of these things thoroughly, went to consultations at almost 10 places, and the consultation period alone took nearly half a year, but the only director who met all of these conditions was Director Kwon Jae-hyun at Soda.
During the first 3 months after surgery, it is not yet the period when the lines come out perfectly. So it’s a time when you feel anxious every day about whether there is nonunion or whether the swelling is going down. Still, whenever I asked Manager Hwang Sung-won, they answered everything kindly, so I was able to get through the difficult 3-month period safely.
For about the first week, the swelling is still quite significant, and my mouth didn’t open much, so I mainly ate soft liquid foods. For swelling care, I rented a radiofrequency device separately for home use and did a lot of home care as well. Taking a one-hour walk every evening and doing plenty of cardio really helps a lot, so please do that too.
Around the 1-month mark, you just look a little like someone who gained weight, and by the 3-month mark, the lines slowly start to come out prettily. I’m now at 8 months, and it feels like the lines are almost completely finished. But they say swelling can continue to go down little by little until 1 year, so because facial contouring surgery is a procedure where you need to watch the progress for a long time, I think it’s better to do it as early as possible.
Right after surgery, Director Kwon, the anesthesiology director, Manager Hwang, the front desk staff, and the nurses all took turns continuously checking whether I was having a hard time or needed anything, so even though I went alone for surgery, I felt reassured. I was a bit anxious because I had the surgery secretly without telling people around me, but I felt relieved because the director checked my progress before leaving for the day.
As for my satisfaction with the surgery, I am truly not lying when I say it has the highest satisfaction of anything in my life. Since my impression became softer, my features look clearer, and my entire face and appearance became more harmonious. In relationships with the opposite sex as well, I have had a much wider range of opportunities and more options than before.
In my case, my cheekbones and masculine image were really my complex, but once all of that changed, my self-esteem rose a lot. I even had bone surgery, so now I have the mindset that there’s nothing I can’t do in life. I’ve become able to care for and love myself more. Plastic surgery alone may not dramatically change your life, but I was also surprised by the different treatment I received compared to before, and it became a driving force for me to live more diligently.
Even if I could go back, I would absolutely do it at Soda, and I do regret that if I had known earlier, I wish I had gotten the surgery even one year younger I’m also recommending to my friends that they definitely do it at Soda, and even if my family were to do it, Soda Plastic Surgery is the only clinic I could trust and entrust them to. Since facial contouring surgery does not solve every problem, I hope you will definitely have a consultation first and then decide.
