Wow, 2017 was already 7 years ago... I don’t know if SMILE LASIK existed back then, but I remember most ophthalmology clinics didn’t have it, so that’s probably why I got regular LASIK..?
First, I wore glasses for about 1 or 2 weeks and went in for a consultation and surgery. They said my corneas were extremely thick, so my eyes could even handle LASIK twice. (At that moment I was seriously so relieved I really didn’t want LASEK because of the recovery period.)
Oh, and because I had worn circle lenses for a re~~~~~~ally long time, I was even more worried that surgery might not be possible.
Anyway, I had the surgery, and I thought it would be nothing, but my eyes stung so badly that I took a taxi home with my guardian.
After taking one nap, everything was visible like a lie. My vision used to be 0.1. Now, even after 7 years, it’s 1.0.
Honestly, I thought my vision would drop, but whenever I get my vision checked every 2 years, it hasn’t dropped. There is exactly one side effect: glare/halos. When I go to performances, the glare from the lights bothers me.
But it’s a surgery I’m so, so satisfied with......
