Today is day 7, and I went in to have the splint removed and the stitches taken out.
My nose was a bulbous nose + crooked nose + thick-skinned nose + hump + rhinitis, so they used <donor rib cartilage, ear cartilage on one side only, septal cartilage, 4 mm silicone>. Even though it was my first surgery, I paid a huge amount, 6 million won, to get it done.
To start with the conclusion, I paid 6 million and got a pig nose, Voldemort, Michael Jackson, and an upturned nose ^^
Today, one week after surgery, as soon as the splint came off, I sobbed my eyes out. I was crying and making a huge scene, saying how am I supposed to live socially with this nose… I clearly asked them not to overcorrect it, but because my skin is thick, they turned me into some kind of Zhu Bajie ㅠ The speed at which swelling goes down differs from person to person, and because my job involves dealing with customers (I live overseas), I clearly asked for it to be done “naturally, without overcorrection,” but it ended up like some pig-nose cosplay. I couldn’t bear to look at my own nose, so when I asked what I should do, they said they’d tape it to help the swelling go down faster, so they taped it. They told me to stay like this for a week……
Of course, I knew about the mental-breakdown phase and overcorrection from this community, but now that it’s actually happened to me, I can’t say anything and only curses come out
When I look at my nose from the side, I’m not sure, but from the front it’s just Zhu Bajie.. I have to go back to work starting in just one week… Seriously, how am I supposed to live with this nose, I’m already getting so pissed…
I even had fat grafting done at the same time, and I don’t really have swelling + bruising, but only my nose looks like that .. At this point, this is overcorrection, right? Ha, seriously, I feel so hopeless, fuck
