Nose Surgery Reviews

How do you decide if all the clinics you consulted at seemed fine lol..

The route may be a bit all over the place, but I went around to 3 places for consultations: It Item, Banana, and Wanna~ I decided to get rhinoplasty because I think I have a bulbous nose and a low nasal bridge.

I thought about getting nose thread lifting, but I wanted to see it corrected all at once, so I chose clinics that were mentioned as being good at rhinoplasty and seemed okay.

1. Wanna (really close to Exit 10 of Gangnam Station) I know it opened not long ago, and I could feel that the facilities were generally clean. The director was also warm and kind, so I was able to ask everything I wanted to ask~ When I said I came in worried that the silicone implant might be placed too high, they said they would have to check how much my skin can stretch, so they couldn’t put in an excessive amount lol Thankfully, they didn’t recommend up to 5–6 mm, and told me around 3–4 mm! I have a very slight hump, and they said this is originally a bony protrusion that would barely show, but because the skin on my nasal bridge is thin, a hump that normal people wouldn’t notice is visible on me. They said it would inevitably need to be smoothed down and overlaid with silicone.

2. Banana (really close to Exit 2 of Sinsa Station) Something you always see when checking Banana consultation reviews.. I feel like saying it too lol. The yellow interior is so cute.... The consultant was lively, which was nice; I had the consultation like I was talking with my real older sister. They carefully checked my overall facial proportions while looking at how everything could be harmonized. I liked that the most. And also that they didn’t recommend or push rib cartilage for a first rhinoplasty! They said they can definitely match my needs, but when enough correction can be achieved with septal cartilage, they don’t diagnose either donated rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage. They said rib cartilage should be used only as a complete last resort! However, if the septal cartilage is insufficient, they said they would take photos in the operating room and there could be a possibility of using donated rib cartilage, but they told me I have plenty of septal cartilage (they said things like firmness can only be known after opening it up). Here too, they said something similar to Wanna about the hump, and mentioned 3–3.5 mm silicone.

3. It Item (really close to Exit 1 of Sinsa Station) The inside of this clinic was also very clean~ I think I saw that it also opened not long ago.. Anyway, here, just like Banana, they provide a self-care kit for aftercare. They give you things like cotton swabs and gauze separately, for care purposes haha I liked that it felt like they cared about making sure I keep managing it at home too. I had my nose consultation with Director Jung Woojin, and it felt like he only told me what was necessary, so it was kind but concise, which was good. Just like the other clinics, he said osteotomy wasn’t needed, but said it would be good to do a little alar reduction. And silicone 2–3 mm / septal cartilage + ear cartilage. I do like a natural look too, but since my nasal bridge is low, I think I’ll need to think a bit more about whether that amount would be okay.

Like an idiot, I believed only what I had heard, that if your nasal bridge is low and you shave down the hump, the silicone needs to go in higher, so I went in firmly believing I’d need 5 mm lol I guess the directors’ eyes really are different. Most said that even just 2–4 mm would be enough to get the line I want, so it was fascinating.
