My face shape and eyes are generally closer to the glamorous side, and my image looks more mature rather than young, but when you only looked at my nose, it looked so old-fashioned and not harmonious? Since the nose is right in the middle of the face, when facing people, their gaze naturally has no choice but to go to the nose, and worrying about other people’s gazes was really stressful. They say that when people usually face someone else, their eyes first go to the part that is their own complex, and maybe that’s why I only saw other people’s noses, and I felt like other people would only see my nose when they looked at my face too haha
I’m the timid type, so for years I only thought that I wanted surgery but couldn’t actually do it.. Then one day I watched a nose surgery vlog on YouTube and thought, should I try it too? I think that’s what made me go through with it lol I thought it would be better to be in pain and struggle for a few days than to keep being this stressed
Since I had both a hump nose and a bulbous nose, I became a bit particular about the nose line. My friends told me to make it look natural no matter what, but even when I looked at reviews, natural noses didn’t really attract me.. Since I was getting surgery anyway, I thought a nose style that was exactly natural + glamorous would be good, so I mainly looked into a natural-glamorous nose, narrowed it down to a few clinics, set aside a day, and went around for consultations. Wow, but.. I guess it’s true that famous clinics have no off-season, because among the places on my consultation list, some were fully booked for several months right away. One of them was Louvre, but I was able to get a consultation with Director Kwak relatively quickly, and the consultation reviews and surgery reviews were good too, so I thought I’d at least go for a consultation first, made a reservation, and went.
That day I was about 30 minutes late because of traffic, but the clinic staff were so kind and told me it was okay as long as I came as quickly and safely as possible. As soon as I visited the clinic, I filled out the chart, and the order was photo shoot - CT scan - consultation with the consultant - consultation with the director - consultation with the consultant It proceeded like this! Actually, among the clinics I had visited, this was the only one that took a CT scan, and it definitely felt more professional and like they paid a lot of attention to each consultation patient. The consultation with the consultant was around 10 minutes with basic conversation, and when Director Kwak came in, I wore a headband on the spot and we talked while looking at the photos and CT images taken right before. I liked that the director pulled the chair right in front of me and checked carefully from a close distance, but more than anything, I liked how he kept drawing on paper and over the photos, asked me “Did you understand~?” and went through things step by step. He said that above all, it’s important for the patient to understand and agree to the surgery.
Honestly, because it was a famous clinic, I thought the consultation would be brief and end quickly, but instead it was much longer and more detailed than other clinics. When I saw the review photos, it seemed like they corrected bulbous noses well without a pinched look, so I immediately put down a reservation deposit. During this process, the consultation consultant kept running back and forth between the consultation room and the desk, continuously checking possible surgery dates for me. (I’m seriously grateful)
To get surgery with the line I wanted, my nasal bridge needed to have a certain amount of height, so silicone was placed in the bridge. Since I had a hump nose and bulbous nose correction, and my nose was also crooked, I also had crooked nose correction done together. Since there is a certain amount of height, they said using costal cartilage would be good to maintain it so it doesn’t droop easily, so autologous costal cartilage was used for the nasal tip!
For about a day or two after surgery, the autologous costal cartilage harvest site hurt so much that even sneezing was hard, but that got better right away if I took painkillers, so whenever it started to hurt a bit, I took painkillers and endured it. Surprisingly, breathing was okay for me lol Since I had correction for a hump nose, bulbous nose, and crooked nose all at once, I worried a lot about what if breathing was too hard, but with the humidifier running strongly, it was more manageable than I had worried. Still, as soon as the cotton was removed, I did feel, ah, so this is what breathing feels like lol
From the one-week mark when the splint was removed, the harvest site improved a lot, but I still lived very carefully. My friend runs a one-person hair salon, so until the second week I went there and asked my friend to wash my hair haha At that time, the bruising was slowly turning yellow and moving upward as it faded, and there was a little residual swelling, but it wasn’t to the point that it looked unwatchable.. My friend said she looked closely at my nose while washing my hair, and she said I didn’t look like someone who had nose surgery a week ago lol
Now the swelling has all gone down, and it feels like it has completely settled in as my own nose. The hump nose and bulbous nose were definitely corrected, and the line came out exactly the way I wanted, so I’m satisfied. What do you think? Even after surgery, the director checked carefully and kept asking if there was anywhere uncomfortable, or if I had any questions or worries, so I felt like they cared a lot until the end haha Now the autologous costal cartilage harvest site has completely healed too, and the color is gradually fading lol Since they made the opening so small, it doesn’t really show, and at this level I think I can live without worrying about it. The pain and discomfort were tolerable enough that I wonder why I worried so much before surgery, so I’m very satisfied with my nose surgery haha
