Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Plate removal review (Day 2)

It’s already been 11 months since I had double-jaw surgery... They say you don’t necessarily need to remove the plates, but every time I get a CT or MRI, having to answer each time when they ask if I had double-jaw surgery feels a bit awkward, and I was worried problems might happen later, so I decided to have the plates removed.

The surgery was the same, under general anesthesia, and I had one wisdom tooth extracted at the same time! Who on earth said it doesn’t hurt..^^... It hurt so much I almost died, and I’m taking painkillers and antibiotics regularly. It’s Day 2, and the swelling actually feels even worse than when I had double-jaw surgery..?? But they say the speed at which it goes down is on a completely different level.. I’ll watch it a little more and leave a Week 2 review:)

After removing the plates, I keep thinking, how did I ever endure double-jaw surgery.. But with plate removal, my nose is less blocked, so breathing is much easier!!! Still, at dawn I wake up here and there because it gets blocked If I spray Otrivin, it gets better quickly!

The 6 kg I lost after double-jaw surgery came back with rebound weight gain, so while removing the plates, I’m also doing a semi-forced diet..^ If you have anything you’re curious about regarding plate removal, please leave a comment;)
