My hooked nose is pretty severe and my nose is very crooked. Not quite Shin Hyun-joon level, but maybe close? I also have severe rhinitis. So this time I decided I really need to get it done, and I visited 4 places in Gangnam.
1. ㄹㄹ This is a place I went to because I liked some of the review photos on a community. First they took a CT scan, and while looking at the photos, the consultant first checked the condition of my nose and roughly explained what state it was in. The CT image looked pretty serious.. They said my nasal septum is almost S-shaped. They said in cases like this, it can be covered by actual-expense insurance, so I should probably do the functional part too. Then the director came in. I said I wanted as short and low a nose as possible, but he lifted my nose almost like a pig nose and said he could make it up to about this much, so I was a bit flustered.. lol And when I asked questions, he answered everything well and explained while drawing pictures. But somehow I just wasn't really drawn to it, so for now it's on hold.
2. ㅋㅋㄹㅇ I went here because their revision surgeries didn't seem bad and the reviews looked naturally well done. Both the consultant and the director spoke so comfortably and well, so I kind of got pulled in..? The director seemed to understand pretty well what I wanted. They didn't take a CT scan, but looked at my nose with something like a flashlight and said my nasal septum was very crooked. So they said they could naturally raise the nasal tip, shave down the hump, and probably wouldn't need to use an implant. But what bothers me is that he isn't a board-certified plastic surgeon, so I'm a little worried about that.
3. ㅁㅎ I made a consultation appointment here after seeing the director on YouTube. The director looked a bit busy. He talked really fast.. But they also took a CT scan here, and they said my nasal septum is very crooked, so it would probably be hard to raise the nasal tip with septal cartilage, because you shouldn't fix it in place using crooked cartilage. So they said I'd probably need costal cartilage, and I had a bit of a mental breakdown. They also said the functional nose surgery would be covered by actual-expense insurance, and that they wouldn't use an implant and would raise the nasal tip with costal cartilage. The price was higher than I expected after adding costal cartilage.
4. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ This place seems pretty popular and has a slightly flashy feel, but the shape looked pretty, so I got a consultation. First of all, the director was so busy that I think I waited about 40 minutes in the consultation room.. I said I absolutely don't want an implant, and they said it is possible not to put one in, but many people regret it later. They said it's because the nose looks too plain and no one around them can tell they had anything done, so they come back to do it again.. Also, they said they don't do the functional part here, so I kind of lost interest. But I also wonder if a pretty shape is all that matters.
Anyway, I went to these 4 places and I'm planning to go to 2 more. If anyone knows a place that does hooked nose + long nose + functional correction naturally and well, please recommend one ㅜㅜㅜ Also please tell me if there are any places above I should avoid. I'm desperate ㅜㅜㅜㅜ
