Review of bulbous nose surgery for a low nose with thick skin that doesn't stretch well

Before/after/after Since I was young, I felt like the center of my face looked blurry because of my nose shape that spread when I smiled + my small nose, so I spent years just thinking about rhinoplasty, then finally went for it thinking this would be the last plastic surgery of my life!!! First of all, since I was doing it anyway, I wanted a dramatic-looking nose haha Before going for the consultation, I saw reviews in a community for Dr. Narim at The Door, and the shape was exactly what I wanted, so I booked a designated consultation. My nose is really thick-skinned, so the nasal tip doesn't stretch well. When I went around for consultations, they said my nose wasn't one that would show a huge before-and-after effect, so I worried a lot. But the doctor honestly told me that while the frontal effect might not be big, from the side/profile he could make the straight-with-slight-curve line I wanted look pretty, so I trusted him and decided to have surgery at the end of April. On the day of nose surgery, I was so nervous, but the consultant and staff made me feel very comfortable, so I relaxed a bit. And what I liked was that when they explained the post-op precautions, they first told my guardian to come in together too, which was really nice hahaha The surgery included nasal bridge, nasal tip, bulbous nose correction, columella, filler removal, and autologous costal cartilage like this. (Because my skin is thick, I had decided from the beginning that it absolutely had to be autologous costal cartilage, so we proceeded with autologous costal cartilage!!) It is currently day 22 after surgery, and I don't have the nasal congestion I was worried about. Since removing the splint, the swelling has gone down unbelievably fast, so I'm living very satisfied with the line and height Also, since my eyes had previously had medial epicanthoplasty, I was really worried about my eyes looking too close together. Before surgery, I asked him to make sure my eyes wouldn't look close-set, and he used silicone that wouldn't make the eyes look close together, so now I'm doing so well that I don't even think about that concern at all The bruising and swelling weren't as bad as I thought, and honestly from day 1 to day 3 after surgery?? because my mouth was dry, I even caught a sore throat/cold, ordered a humidifier, woke up while sleeping and held gauze in my mouth it was tough, but now when I look at my nose shape in the mirror, I don't even remember how hard it was then. Even after surgery, whenever I go to the hospital for progress checks, they carefully check my progress every time and explain in detail what my nasal skin was like during surgery and anything else I'm curious about. Even after I came home, when I annoyingly asked several questions through the hospital consultation chat, they kindly explained everything, so thank you Most of all, now when I smile, my nostril wings?? nasal tip area doesn't spread sideways, so that's what I'm most satisfied with, and I feel good every time I take profile photos,, Honestly, I didn't expect much frontal effect, but no, the front view has changed completely too. I'm so satisfied. Since my nose definitely came alive, it feels like the center of my face is defined, my face seems to look smaller too, and I just like everything. I'm so happy haha
