I went to consultations at these 4 places.
I was born with many overlapping creases on my eyelids. My right eye at least has one deep crease that looks like a double eyelid, but my left eye is especially severe, with several shallow creases. I’m the type with almost no fat in the upper eyelid and eyelid area. My eyes and irises are on the larger side, and they’re almond-shaped with the irises clearly visible, so other than the multiple double eyelid folds, I don’t have any particular discomfort or dissatisfaction.
I went to consultations thinking I didn’t need anything else and simply wanted to make the double eyelid line clear and merge the folds.

[1. One Pick Plastic Surgery]
First of all, this was a place with many reviews in the community. I imagined a very grand clinic, but it was unexpectedly in an older building and used only one floor, so that surprised me.
They said incisional surgery was definitely necessary, and suggested doing upper eyelid fat repositioning together. They said even after repositioning, if there was too little fat, there might only be a possibility of revision with fat grafting at that time.
I saw photos of people who had the same surgery/procedure. The upper eyelid area looked cleaner, but the double eyelid (out-fold) curve wasn’t pretty, so I hesitated a bit.
The cost was 1.5 million won for incision + 300,000 won for fat repositioning (+10% VAT). With a review-writing discount, it was 1 million + 200,000 won (+10% VAT), the cheapest among the 4 places.

[2. Objet Plastic Surgery]
The consultation center and surgery center were separate, and the facilities were clean and spacious. When I filled out the chart, I saw that it said the operating room CCTV is also recorded. The before-and-after photos all looked good too (though they may not have been from the director who would be in charge of me).
When I only met the consultant, she was very kind, and it seemed like detailed option(?) choices were possible, such as recommending a semi-out line as the double eyelid line I wanted, but when I actually had the consultation with Director Shin ㅊㅎ, it felt a bit different.
First, he said he would create the left double eyelid based on the deep crease on my right eye, but judging from my natural eyelid creases, the right eye was likely to come out as an in-out fold and the left eye as an out-fold. Up to that point, I thought he was giving his opinion based on my natural eye shape, so even if it was a little disappointing, I could accept it. But then he added that Suzy also has uneven double eyelid lines and nobody says she isn’t pretty... From the standpoint of someone paying to get surgery, of course it’s natural to want both sides symmetrical.. haha
He said the plan was to address the fine wrinkles above the double eyelid with fat repositioning, and the fine wrinkles below the double eyelid by making the double eyelid deeper and pulling the skin.
He also said from the beginning that it seemed like it wouldn’t be an easy surgery, and I did feel he wasn’t saying anything uncertain, but I got the impression that he couldn’t be confident about how it would look after surgery and would be relying a lot on my natural eye shape.
Lastly, after the consultation, I was really surprised when the consultant explained the cost. Suddenly she said my irises were not fully visible, so I needed to add ptosis correction, and quoted 1.68 million won for incisional double eyelid surgery + 1.1 million won for ptosis correction (VAT included). She said it would be discounted to 1.98 million won if I booked that day.
I said, “But when I open my eyes, my irises are completely visible,” and then she pressed above my eyebrows with her hand and told me to open my eyes, then said I was opening my eyes by lifting my eyebrows upward. I swear I’m someone whose eyebrow height is exactly the same when my eyes are closed and open. At other clinics afterward, I was also recommended ptosis correction, but then the director directly explained that it was to remove creases in certain areas. Not like suddenly hearing it from the consultant like this.
If I were to do it here, I thought I’d need a consultation with another director.

[3. Dareum Plastic Surgery]
Here, the director in charge of eyes is a woman. The consultant also somehow had experience and presence... The consultation atmosphere was thorough, comfortable, and the best.
Here, when I said I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, they were the only place that suggested a non-incisional method too. However, they told me to think of non-incisional surgery as lasting about 10 years. I’m in my early 30s, and they said if I were older, they would have gone with incision. For now, non-incisional is also an option, so they said it wouldn’t be bad to go around well with non-incisional for 10 years hahaha, and when I’m in my late 30s, as the upper eyelid area becomes even more hollow than now and the surgical effect drops a lot, I could then consider revision surgery and additional fat grafting.
This director saw fat grafting as the key point for me. When I said other clinics had suggested repositioning, she said because my eyes have so little fat, there was a high chance there wouldn’t even be enough fat to reposition. She also said ptosis correction could cover the lack of fat to some extent, and in the end she suggested 3 plans.
① Non-incisional + ptosis correction ② Non-incisional + ptosis correction + injectable fat grafting ③ Incisional + ptosis correction + axillary fat (lump) grafting
She said the 3rd incisional plan was definitely the one least likely to loosen and with a higher fat survival rate.
I was told the regular prices were 1.5 million won for non-incisional, 2.5 million won for incisional, and 800,000 won for fat grafting (all excluding VAT),
and including VAT, ① 1.309 million ② 2.3 million ③ 3.3 million would be possible.
Lastly, the consultant said it might be good to try plan 1 first, and if it comes loose within 1 year, they would do a revision for free.

[4. Premier Plastic Surgery]
This place had the longest waiting time and the shortest time seeing the director. It took over an hour from check-in to seeing the director. I heard it was a large and popular place, and the number of people waiting was truly incomparable to the other 3 places I visited.
Like at most plastic surgery clinics, the consultant gave me a short consultation first, but even though I showed no interest at all in anything besides double eyelids, she told me to do my nose together, which flustered me.. She also said ptosis correction was essential because my eyelashes were slightly covering my irises (I mean, my natural eyelashes aren’t poking my eyes, they just point downward; isn’t that within the normal range? I have no complaints at all...)
Anyway, the director I saw was Director Kang Min*, and the director also said I should have incisional ptosis correction. This was to separate the areas that were already forming creases on my eyelids from the muscle, and leave only one double eyelid line that I wanted to create. He additionally said fat grafting was needed, so in conclusion the plan was incisional ptosis correction + fat grafting. This director proceeded with the consultation very quickly, with the feeling of diagnosis! rather than suggestion, and I felt his certainty that this method was the best. Maybe because of that, I didn’t even dare ask about other plans. It felt like I was overwhelmed by his presence hahaha
The consultation with the director itself didn’t have a bad atmosphere, but somehow the whole clinic gave the impression of doing sales in a somewhat burdensome way. The director also emphasized that I should have surgery as soon as possible.
The cost was quoted as 3 million won regular price, 2.6 million won if booking that day. Both prices were under the conditions of writing an app review and allowing use of before-and-after photos for 5 years.
When I gave the nuance that I wouldn’t book right away and would think about it more, the consultant looked a bit displeased, asking whether it wouldn’t be better to book today.

Since I don’t completely lack double eyelids, I thought maybe I could finish simply with non-incisional surgery and a little fat grafting, but after going around to clinics, all the doctors commonly said it would not be an easy surgery. The cost also seems likely to be more than I expected.. It’s still hard to decide where and what surgery to get, but I wrote this hoping it may be helpful to people who share the same concern as me.
