During surgery, my nasal tip shifted to the right. As it shifted, the columella also dropped to the right, and the amount of nostril show on both sides looks different from the front or side. Because the cartilage was tied and became pinched, my nostrils also became much more visible than before. The surgeon who operated on me said it would return 95% if I removed it, but it has been over a year since removal and it still hasn’t gone back. In conclusion, I’m preparing for revision surgery. Is it right to go to a hospital specializing in revisions? I’ve been to all the well-known revision hospitals, but there was only one place that understood all the problems and matched the surgical direction I had in mind. Quite a few hospitals said I needed alar rim lowering because my nostrils became visible, but only this hospital said it would be enough to slightly release the tied cartilage without alar rim lowering, improving the pinching and nostril exposure. I also absolutely do not want alar rim lowering, and I wanted to do it with this kind of method. Then you may think, “Just go to that hospital, what’s the problem?” but one downside is that the cost is enormous… My nose is visible when photographed, but in real life, when others look at it, it’s to the point where they don’t really notice unless I say something. Because of that, I thought it would be an easy surgery… What I want is also just to return it to my original nose? To make it a normal nose. But I keep getting confused about whether this is really a surgery that can only be done by spending this much money. I want to look into more hospitals, but how should I search? Should I rather go to a place specializing in removal..? Like returning the nasal tip cartilage to its original position? Since they do a lot of restoration, I wonder if that might be better.
