Before surgery, my nose was very small for my face, with a blunt nasal tip and a severe hump. I had nose filler twice, and although it was a bit disappointing, I was satisfied, but as time passed, it spread out, and when I took photos, the roundness of my nose bothered me so much. So I looked around a lot. I went to 2 or 3 places a day and had consultations at 7 places in total. The reason was that the diagnoses were all different. Some places said it was a bulbous nose, others said it wasn’t, some said it was a long nose, others said it was a short nose. So first, I narrowed it down to places that gave the same diagnosis and chose from there. Another criterion was whether they pressured me or not.
Clinic 1 said since it was my first surgery, I should just use ear cartilage and put in 3.5 mm. To me, it sounded like, “Since it’s your first surgery, doing it roughly is fine.” On top of that, the consultant pressured me way too much, pressuring me to pay a deposit… I was practically trapped in the consultation room. So I passed.
Clinic 2 had pride and gave me hope. They said if I got my nose done, I would really become dramatically prettier, and since it was my first surgery, I should use autologous costal cartilage so I wouldn’t need revision surgery. I liked that part at first. But the nose surgery cost was so, so, so expensive… like, huh..? So I passed.
Clinic 3 was very famous in the past and is still famous now, so I wanted to go for a consultation. The price was better than I expected, but something didn’t draw me in, and it felt like they were only trying to make it look natural, so I passed.
Clinic 4 is famous as an ENT clinic. There were so many Chinese patients, like 8 Chinese patients to 2 Korean patients, and the wait was long. Compared to how long I waited, the consultation ended in less than 5 minutes..;; But I looked at the review photos, and they were just so… not my style, so I passed.
Clinic 5’s noses were really my style.. so pretty, and the consultation was fine too, but this place was also too expensive, so ha.. I passed
Clinic 6 was also a large clinic, and that influencer was their model. I booked after seeing that woman’s nose, but the pressure was way too much, and they compared themselves to other clinics while showing too much pride. Also, they told me they would make me as pretty as possible, but not to have expectations, so I passed. My feelings totally cooled.
Clinic 7, the last place I went, honestly I had no expectations at all. But the consultant didn’t pressure me at all, and when I said I wanted to do this and that, she told me to only do my nose. Other places told me to do my eyes together too, but here they said if I did canthoplasty and natural adhesion on my eyes, I’d get sanpaku eyes and the redness would be so severe that I’d regret it. They were so honest, didn’t pressure me for a deposit, and after the consultation, they sent me the consultation details carefully written out by KakaoTalk. I liked the director too, so I ended up having surgery here. I don’t regret it at all now. My friend recently had surgery at the place I went to, and she felt exactly the same way I did. She said that even though they didn’t pressure her, she ended up wanting to do it, and they spoke in a trustworthy way. My friend and I are both satisfied here!
