Functional rhinoplasty consultation review I only went around to places where there was just one director. It has been a few months since I had the consultations, so my memory may be a little off. I don’t know if this is normally how it is, but neither of the two places took a CT scan.
1. ㅋㅋㄹㅇ Consultation fee: 5,000 won I went there because I liked their natural-looking lines. At first, I talked a little with the consultation manager, and I liked that she was very kind. After a brief conversation with the manager, the director came in, but he seemed a bit indifferent. He told me to lower my mask, glanced quickly here and there, and said we should shave down the hump and raise the nasal tip. I felt the consultation time with the director was a bit short.. I had gone there to do functional rhinoplasty too, but for the functional part, he just.. only listened to what I said and didn’t ask where, how, or how much discomfort I had. I just said I had rhinitis, and it felt like, “OK, then we’ll add that to the surgery tooㅇㅇ”... After the director left, the consultation manager came back in, and I liked that she was really, really kind. It seemed like the consultation manager explained things longer and in more detail. She explained all the surgical methods and things like that. And I liked that the cost was exactly around the price range I had in mind.
2. ㅇㅍㄹㅅ Consultation fee: 10,000 won I went at my reservation time, but they said the director’s surgery wasn’t finished, so I had to wait an hourㅎㅎ... Before the consultation, they took front-view and side-view photos. When the consultation started properly, I think this place went straight into the director’s consultation without a consultation with the manager? (I don’t remember well.) Maybe because it was right after surgery, the director looked a bit tired. He looked at the photos and said the hump was not that severe, and suggested doing it without an implant and raising the nasal tip slightly. But I didn’t want to raise my nasal tipㅜㅜ (my nose is already slightly upturned, so I thought it would look strange if it were raised), so I asked if it would be okay not to raise it. He looked at the photos and thought for a moment, then said, “I think it would be okay not to~ Then let’s just correct the hump.” Then I talked about functional rhinoplasty. I have experience having rhinitis surgery (cosmetic surgery is my first time). Even though I had rhinitis surgery, I had constantly felt like the inside of my nose was blocked, and after hearing that, he pressed? somewhere inside my nose with a cotton swab, and immediately my nostril opened up wide and breathing became so comfortable. My favorability went way up there. After finishing the consultation with the director, I came out of the exam room and talked with the consultation manager... and my favorability went down there. The manager’s tone was curt, and rather than explaining what method the surgery would be done with, the consultation was mostly focused on price... The director had said it seemed okay not to do the nasal tip, but she kept saying, “Still, it’s better to do the nasal tip,” and kept pushing it... Also, the price exceeded what I had in mind. It was quite a bit more expensive than the hospital I went to before. And again, the consultation manager’s tone really upset me. But the director’s consultation was good, so it became plus-minus zero.
