After getting implant-free rhinoplasty, the shape improved a lot and turned out the way I wanted.. A week later, when the bandage came off, I thought, ah, maybe it was good that I had surgery? For more than a year after that, I think I lived relatively well.. except that I couldn't wash my face vigorously, couldn't bury my face in a pillow, my nose sensation was strange, it got itchier but I couldn't pick my nose, couldn't rub my nose, couldn't squeeze blackheads, had a foreign-body sensation, sometimes felt something shifting inside when I moved suddenly or lay on my side, couldn't exercise freely.. And except that I struggled every day with anxiety, it was okay (looking back).
But from around 10 months? I developed an unknown symptom. A cold, stinging sensation in my nose..! Then after about two or three months, that symptom disappeared, but after that, symptoms that gradually worsened appeared. At first it was just that cold-stinging feeling, but then gradually it became throbbing, aching. Tingling, zapping.. Now even when I'm staying still, I feel pressure, aching, tingling. Because the inside of my nose hurts, the area toward my ear hurts too. If I pick my nose, my nose gets extremely cold-stinging and painful... I didn't have symptoms like this before..?
It's definitely not rhinitis or sinusitis, and when I touch inside my nose, it feels like the cartilage graft may be poking the flesh. I feel like something has slightly moved down from where it originally was, causing a foreign-body sensation..
When I searched more deeply, there are people who had ear cartilage columellar strut + nasal tip surgery (without implants) 15 years ago, lived with no problems until year 14, and then suddenly developed inflammation and are preparing for removal; there are also people who developed inflammation after giving birth and suffered from it.. There are also people who say they take painkillers every day because of unexplained pain 1.5 years or 5 years later...
I thought that if I was okay after surgery (if necrosis or inflammation didn't happen soon after surgery), then I was okay.. Rather, because even doctors send you away saying, 'It's implant-free, so inflammation won't occur,' it's harder to find the cause, and there are cases where the pain isn't resolved even after removal, so I think it feels even more anxious and uncertain.. Rhinoplasty doesn't end with the first surgery, so why did I do it? I seriously regret it so damn much and want to turn back time.. From now on, I'm going to train myself to give up on my appearance..
