I went for a consultation on 6/15. After making the reservation, I told them I wanted to have my eyes/nose/face done overall.
Since it was my first hospital for a plastic surgery consultation, I went excited to find out the shape I wanted and what direction would be possible.
I’m a 170 cm, 75 kg man considering plastic surgery, and since I had lost about 17 kg over 6 months, I wanted to have surgery around September after reaching my target weight,
so I went in for a consultation.
Before seeing the director, I first took X-rays and looked at the screen.
They said my skull and the bones around my nose looked clean.
I told them I had surgery for rhinitis in 2005, including osteotomy and mucous membrane removal, and since whether the septal cartilage was intact would not show on X-ray, they said we would check during surgery
to see if it could be used.
When I told them the image I wanted, I said I wanted a slightly androgynous image like IVE’s An Yu-jin or Stray Kids’ Hyunjin,
but they said we should go for just handsome rather than pretty-handsome.
Rather than being satisfied with just one area, I wanted my overall face to change, so I presented that kind of image.
The director checked the lines, touched my nose, and said
that my horizontal eye length was sufficient, and if the opening strength were corrected, it would suit me.
To summarize:
Eyes: sufficient left/right eye length, no canthoplasty, go with ptosis correction (strengthening opening power), incisional double eyelid (inline)
Nose: the nose is already sufficiently high, and the distance between the nose and philtrum is a bit long, so lengthen it and raise the nasal tip and bridge; nasal surgery using ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and donated costal cartilage
Face: I have a retruded chin with little chin projection. They recommended chin implant surgery and, since my cheek fat is chubby, deep cheek fat removal surgery.
Then the consultation ended.
I talked with the consultant about the surgery schedule and cost, and received an estimate of 8.8 million won total.
It was helpful because they explained things in detail and in an easy-to-understand way to find a beauty that was more varied than expected and suitable for my face.
While searching, I found there were procedures I didn’t know about, such as deep cheek fat removal and chin implant.
After coming back and searching again, I think they could be applied to my face sufficiently.
Also, I left a comment on their YouTube channel asking about the chin implant (silicone), which I don’t know much about and opinions differ on, so if they answer or cover it in content going forward,
I’ll post another review.
