After deciding to get double-eyelid surgery, I did online research and narrowed it down to 3 places because I'm from the provinces, then went and checked them out. First, I have asymmetrical eyes with only one hidden double eyelid. I wanted an in-out line, something a little natural but still refined. When I had consultations, I looked up reviews for each surgeon, found the line I liked, and showed photos.
1. NSH GJH Manager > surgeon > manager They recommended a line between an in-line and an in-out line and recommended partial incision + eye correction for the surgery method. They also recommended front canthoplasty and rear canthoplasty, but those were optional, so I didn't get them. The manager was really kind. The surgeon just marked the line, and since it was my first consultation there, I couldn't ask much besides the line. A/S is 3 years. The wait wasn't that long, and everything finished in about 50 minutes.
This is a hospital specialized in eyes, so that part was nice, but of the three places, only this one recommended incision, so I'm a bit hesitant.
2. JYT YHH Manager > surgeon > manager Natural adhesion + in-line I went there because there were a lot of reviews about it here. The surgeon was really, really kind. They explained my eye structure, and because the space between my eyebrows and eyes is narrow, they said my eyes don't suit incision and that if I did incision, the eyes would look too intense, so they recommended a thin line! A/S 1 year The wait wasn't long here either, and everything was done in about 40 minutes!
I thought this place was good too, but there are reviews only on this community and BBT, and not many on Naver, so it feels a bit like a broker place, which makes me hesitate.
3. OMR DYL Manager > surgeon > manager Natural adhesion + in-out This was the longest wait of the three. But I went with a friend, so it didn't feel that long (I think everything was done in under an hour and a half?) They said both incision and natural adhesion were possible here, and explained the probability of each method loosening, then told me to choose. The manager said to do natural adhesion if possible. So I said I'd do natural adhesion because I didn't want to come back to remove stitches. But then they said I had to come back a week later for a follow-up. A/S is 1 year, and they said they'd do a revision if I didn't like the line after a week. Even though the surgeon wait was long, I think I liked the line here the most. But there was a lot of waiting, and they said it's a factory-style place, so I was a bit hesitant.
The price, anesthesia method, and whether they use a swelling laser were all almost the same, so I'm going to think it over and choose the one I feel drawn to. They said the deposit is refundable until one week before surgery, so I reserved all three! OMR refunds everything except 10,000 won, apparently the consultation fee?
