About 3 years ago, I had a slight epicanthoplasty + posterior-lower canthoplasty at Girin. At the time, I think the name was something like 6 mm posterior-lower canthoplasty. It wasn't widening with fixation, but more like actually cutting it open..? Something like that. I was young, and I didn't have much time in Korea, so I really don't think I looked into it much before doing it.. To get straight to the point, after getting it done I regretted both the epicanthoplasty and the posterior canthoplasty. Especially for the epicanthoplasty, I like gentle-looking eyes, but suddenly the inner corners looked opened up, so my eyes seemed a bit sharp, and I regretted it a lot.
For the posterior canthoplasty, my eyes definitely went downward and got bigger, but the current shape is a bit rounded at the ends and the triangular zone looks almost gone, so I didn't like that back then either. Still, I do like that my eyes got bigger.
But as time passed, a lot of the awkwardness definitely went away, and maybe because the tissue filled in little by little? Now, compared to back then, I regret it less, and I even think some parts may have been a good choice. Back then I felt depressed because I thought I had decided too hastily..
Conclusion: I recommend looking into several clinics before going, and I recommend being cautious!!
