Before/after/after I didn’t like my low, long nose, so I decided to get nose surgery.. This was when I had lived 23 years of life..! I searched through a community, Babitalk, Yeowoo-ya, and all sorts of places, and narrowed down the clinics in Busan that were said to be good. I went to ㄷㅁ, ㄱㄹㅅ, ㅁㅇ, ㅇㅇㅇㅋ, ㄷㅍㅇㅅ, and so on.. As I went to consultations here and there, I heard many different suggestions, such as clinics that recommended osteotomy and silicone, clinics that recommended ear cartilage and silicone, and more. After going around to different places, there was one clinic that strangely drew me in. ㄷㅁ. Talking with the consultant felt like, if I went “tiki!!!!@,” the consultant would go “taka!!!!!!!”..? I also really liked the consultation with the doctor, so I ended up choosing ㄷㅁ! And so, my low but small and naturally shaped nose received 2 mm silicone, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage.
The two clinics I was debating between the most were ㄷㅍㅇㅅ and ㄷㅁ. ㄷㅍㅇㅅ: The advantages that stood out were that it was systematic, the consultant understood things well, and the aftercare system was well organized, so at the very least I wouldn’t be left uncomfortable. Here, they recommended 3 mm silicone and ear cartilage.
ㄷㅁ: Since it was a private clinic, it didn’t seem that systematic, but I liked the consultant and the director, so I ended up choosing it.(^_^)
Both clinics had good review photos, so I thought I could trust them and leave it to them.
As for the surgery review, on the day of surgery it was done under semi-sedation anesthesia, and since it was a one-doctor clinic, I think it was for the reason of making sure nothing life-threatening happened, but honestly it was a bit hard haha.. Still, thanks to that, I really felt deeply that it wasn’t something like a substitute surgery.. really deeply..
The photos I uploaded are from day 10 and day 11 after taking them, and even though I know there is still a lot of swelling at the nasal tip and that it will come down, I’m still living with unnecessary anxiety. Since I often went into the community too, I saw all kinds of stories about septal cartilage side effects that I hadn’t checked before, ear cartilage, and so on, and I did feel anxious and wondered what if I got side effects, but now that I’ve actually done it, I don’t think there’s any need to worry that much. My mom had surgery with silicone 40 years ago, and aside from her nasal tip being red (it’s been like that for the past few years), she was fine, and both of my older sisters also had surgery, one 10 years ago and the other a few years ago, with silicone and ear cartilage, and they are living perfectly fine. My eldest sister, who had it done 10 years ago, has even had her second child and is in the middle of the war of childcare. Side effects are not as common as you might think, so everyone, don’t worry, and I hope you make the silicone mother-daughter dream come true. That’s all, happy surgery, fighting!
