I went for nose surgery consultations at J.J.J. Plastic Surgery in Sinsa and L.L. Plastic Surgery in Gangnam. I do want to get nose surgery, but I was more scared than anything else, so I made appointments at those hospitals with the feeling of, "let’s just get a consultation first!" It was also my first time getting consultations at a clinic, and I couldn’t ask that many questions, so I’ll write down what I remember as best I can.
- J.J.J. Plastic Surgery near Sinsa Station It was an morning appointment, so there was no waiting, and there was no consultation fee. The manager didn’t feel especially friendly. It was more like she answered when I asked questions?? I said I wanted to go with no implant if possible, but she said my nose absolutely needed one, so because of the risk of complications, she recommended donor rib cartilage! She wrote donor rib cartilage as something required rather than optional, and said it would be best to definitely use donor rib cartilage. She said silicone has many complications, so she recommended autologous rib cartilage or donor rib cartilage! Also, she said that if I did no-implant surgery, it wouldn’t be noticeable. She recommended adding something in terms of satisfaction and shape. I hadn’t chosen a surgeon in advance, so I had my consultation with the head surgeon, but it didn’t feel like a very thorough consultation.. For donor rib cartilage + columella + alar reduction + tip cartilage tying + hump removal, the price was quoted quite a bit higher than I had expected, and they said that if I didn’t book on the same day, VAT would be added on top of the initially quoted price.
L.L. Plastic Surgery in Gangnam The manager was extremely kind! I didn’t know much, so I repeated the same things and talked quite a lot, but she explained everything I was curious about in detail. Since they take photos and CT scans first and then start the consultation, the surgeon explained things while looking at the photos too, which made it easier to understand. And when I asked about the parts I was unsure about getting done and the changes after surgery, he confidently said he would make a model nose for me, which really boosted my trust. Here, they recommended 3D implants?? rather than donor rib cartilage or autologous rib cartilage. They said no-implant surgery was possible, but it would only refine the shape of my current nose a little, and if silicone were added, they could make it much more dramatic with a refined, elegant feel (that was my wording: a natural look that doesn’t look overdone after surgery). I didn’t exactly shop around by myself; a friend had surgery here and it turned out so well that I came through that referral, so I got a discount on the overall price. They mentioned bridge + tip + hump + bulbous nose + columella, and the price difference was quite large compared with J.J.J. Plastic Surgery! This place also had a price increase if you didn’t book on the same day. There was no consultation fee.
I wasn’t sure whether it was okay to write the price in detail, so I’ll stop here!!! Since this was my first surgery and I was debating whether to visit many more places, I ended up leaving a deposit and deciding to set the surgery date at L.L.. because my acquaintance’s results there were so good, and the surgeon gave me so much confidence!!!!!
