I was someone whose appearance changed a lot depending on whether I wore circle lenses, like NewJeans’ Haerin, so I thought a lot about whether to get LASEK
First of all, if you’re someone who won’t wear circle lenses for the rest of your life, I recommend LASEK
For me, wearing circle lenses has a big effect on my appearance, so starting about 2 years after surgery, when I occasionally wanted to wear them on days I wanted to pay attention to how I looked, my eye condition would immediately get bad. It’s hard to wear them even for 2 hours Before surgery, I could wear lenses for 12 hours a day and it wasn’t uncomfortable
And on days with a lot of fine dust, or around seasonal changes, my eyes get itchy like clockwork and I get a ton of eye discharge
If my eyes are really itchy and bloodshot when I wake up, it’s definitely a day with bad fine dust
I’ve basically become a human fine-dust alert
But it’s true that it’s convenient enough to put up with these inconveniences,, The feeling that the world is bright as soon as you open your eyes, and considering the cost of buying lenses / lens solution, the surgery cost seems more worthwhile
..................... In conclusion, if I went back to the past, I don’t think I’d get the surgery I’d just live wearing lenses until before marriage and probably get LASEK after marriage
