Before/after: I was stressed because the inner corner of my left eye had been opened more, making the left and right sides asymmetrical. Especially when smiling or taking photos, my left eye looked raised upward and my right eye looked lowered downward. I especially disliked the feeling that the midface on the left side of my face looked longer, so I decided to have surgery. When I consulted at other hospitals, they said epicanthoplasty is done to remove the Mongolian fold, so why would I do restoration, and that the only method was to open the right side more. But this clinic said it was possible, so I proceeded with surgery.
Another thing I liked during the consultation was that they did not recommend unnecessary surgeries. At another hospital, they recommended doing double eyelid surgery together, but at this clinic, both the consultant and the director told me that they didn’t think double eyelid surgery was necessary and said not to do it.
What I liked during surgery was that it was done under local anesthesia, so I was awake during the surgical process + the doctor kept checking very meticulously during surgery, sitting me up to check, lying me down to check, and checking in the mirror. I especially liked that during surgery, they gave me a mirror and asked whether I liked it and to tell them if there was anything more I wanted.
