I’m the author who posted the nose surgery to removal post below! Many people were curious about my nose surgery and implant removal process, and you asked a lot of questions in the comments. I thought you might also be curious about the current condition of my nose, so I’m posting this!
These are photos from my natural nose, after the failed nose surgery, after removal, and after the successful revision rhinoplasty! There were many questions in the comments, so I’ll answer them!
Q1 What kind of nose surgery did you get? + You said there were a lot of manipulations, so what manipulations were done? -April 2, 2021: 4 mm silicone, hump nose lateral osteotomy, donated costal cartilage, septal cartilage, columella lowering, alar reduction -May 1, 2021 (early correction): lowering silicone to 2 mm, ear cartilage use, columella lifting -November 3, 2021: total removal
Q2 Was the hospital where your nose surgery went wrong a large hospital? -Yes, that’s right!
Q3 It’s almost been one month since I had my nose removed. I’m not going to live with this nose, right? -Yes, of course! It’s absolutely not that shape. During months 1-3, just think of it as not your own face, seriously..
Q4 What materials did the hospital where your revision rhinoplasty succeeded use? -4 mm silicone, ear cartilage, and bulbous nose correction
Q5 Was the hospital where your revision rhinoplasty succeeded a private clinic? -Yes, I had it done at a private clinic!
Q6 I had surgery like ~. Can I go back to my natural nose? What surgery should I get? -I’m not a doctor, so it was really hard for me to answer these kinds of questions ㅠㅠ I heard that if there has been too much manipulation like mine, it’s difficult to return to the natural nose! I think it’s really best to consult with a doctor about the surgical method..
Q7 How was it after nose removal, upturning, etc. -After nose removal, breathing did improve, but it was more upturned than my natural nose, and I had half given up on the shape.. The bridge became severely low, and the tip was a bit upturned and slightly spread, that kind of nose.
Q8 Tips for going for removal, whether removal is okay, and requests about what to do if removing -I really do not recommend removing it recklessly. If, like me, they don’t even tie the nasal tip cartilage and just take everything out, and remove all of the septal support as well, then the bridge becomes completely low and the tip droops with 100% probability.. If you don’t care about the nose and just want to live comfortably >> then just do total removal, If you’re worried about the nose shape >> have them remove the capsule too, leave the nasal tip (though you don’t necessarily have to), make sure to do nasal cartilage repositioning!!, and tying the nasal tip cartilage (optional, not required) would be good!
