Nose Surgery Reviews

I had my primary surgery at a hospital famous for revisions

At the time, I only knew how to look at BabiTalk, so I researched a lot. I really disliked lines like Konokio or a Korean traditional-sock shape that sharply bends, because they look obviously surgical. When I saw this hospital’s signature nose lines, the side profile looked elegantly attractive, so it was on my shortlist... But after going around southern Seoul and Gangnam, I was exhausted, so I admit I chose rather roughly. I had heard that nose surgery has many complications, so I was afraid; what mattered was whether they would operate carefully enough that I would not need another revision. The hospital was famous for revisions, and I immediately trusted the doctor’s image... I also liked the representative image on the app, and the coordinator seemed fine, so I paid a deposit and had surgery. It was definitely more expensive than other large hospitals. The hospital felt a little small, but the important thing is... there was an uneasy feeling. I have been regretting this for about five months. At my final consultation, I emphasized naturalness... Why did the doctor never ask what nose line I wanted? When I booked by phone, I only briefly said I wanted a semi-straight line. But I never explained anything specific to the doctor I realized it only now.... My aesthetic preference and the doctor’s aesthetic sense seem to have been different... (I wanted something between a semi-curved and semi-straight line, with a naturally curved bridge overall and a slightly lifted tip as a point) -> a semi-straight line close to straight (it looks straight to me + the tip is blunt and looks droopy depending on the angle...)) Was I supposed to explain it first as the patient?? Anyway... I did not know I needed to speak in such detail... The doctor simply said they would make a natural, attractive nose suited to me, and I thought it would turn out pretty, to my liking. I regret not having a more detailed consultation... But don’t doctors normally make a sketch???... I thought maybe they would do it around the time I lay on the operating table...?? In the end... they only marked a dot on the bridge with a pen. I felt uneasy, but it was my first surgery, so I did not know. Under sedation, I fell asleep without seeing the doctor in charge. (This is a huge source of distress.) I did not see the doctor after surgery either... I requested CCTV before surgery because I was worried about proxy surgery, and they readily agreed, but the system did not allow me to check it when the coordinator was absent. I kept putting it off, and after a month I could no longer check it. The important thing is... I don’t like the nose line. The tip is blunt, the line is too straight, and my nose became large, giving a typical masculine-nose impression. For a while after surgery I thought it was because of swelling. When I smile, the tip looks droopy, which did not happen with my natural nose... My midface looks extremely full, making me look older, and it looks awful. I look prematurely aged. I deeply regret it. I wanted a nose harmonious with my face overall, with a youthful image, but even people seeing me for the first time say they can see nothing but my nose. Half my face is nose. Hearing this stresses me out. (They probably meant it as a compliment.) Depending on personal taste, my nose may look attractive to some people... Anyway... those pursuing a straight line may be fine with it... but not me. I wanted a feminine nose... No Who would want an androgynous or masculine nose... I’m a woman... And the silicone seems obvious too... I did not realize I disliked that artificial silicone look this much... If I had known, I might have considered another surgical method instead of silicone. Before surgery, I thought it might look pretty to leave a slight hump, but they said it had to be shaved because it would be covered with silicone I am worried about complications, so I will not open my nose again soon, but if I still feel stressed after about five years, I may have revision surgery... Then I want the line I prefer + a natural hump added... In summary, this seems to have happened because the doctor’s aesthetic sense and my desired look did not match... Since the nose greatly affects one’s image, this has caused me severe distress~ It is hard~~ My natural nose was relatively attractive... I wanted conservative improvement, but I thought it would not look strange if I followed the doctor’s recommendations, so I did everything recommended~ Hmm... maybe that is why it strongly feels like it is not my nose! It was just newly created. I hate this masculine nose. I feel like I am going to lose my mind. Seriously. My originally cute, feminine image has disappeared. The reason I wanted nose surgery was to straighten the bent cartilage visible from the front and at a 45-degree angle and raise only the bridge slightly... Actually, I liked my overall natural nose line and wanted to preserve it... The tip is blunt too... They say it takes six months to a year for swelling to go down, but five months have passed and the blunt tip simply seems to be its shape. I feel like I am going to lose my mind. Three-line summary (complaints): 1. I fell asleep during sedation without confirming the doctor in charge and never saw the doctor after surgery. 2. I could not check the CCTV. 3. The doctor seems to have a very firm style. They did not specifically reflect the patient’s desired direction (they did not ask in the first place). 4. My overall image became androgynous, causing severe distress. + Midface distress. Three-line summary (positive points): 1. Although I wanted a feminine, youthful, pretty nose that looked smaller overall -> it became a straight, masculine or androgynous, large nose. It is not my preferred look, but people do say my nose looks impressive... ^^ Ah, now that my nose is larger, it makes my face look smaller. 2. It seems to be a natural straight nose. In a dark place, people would believe me if I said I had not had surgery. The side profile has an amazing mood. But when I smile from the front, it becomes an arrow nose, which causes severe distress. (It does seem to be improving little by little as the swelling subsides, so please let that be true...) 3. I wonder if they mistook me for a man...? If I had been a man, I probably would have been satisfied... a pretty masculine nose I want a feminine nose...
