Before before before after after after Hello I had double-jaw surgery at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on November 29 last year (including square jaw and chin)! It’s already been 3 months, and I’m heading into month 4!
The reason I decided to have surgery was that since middle school, I had been aware that my jaw protruded, and people around me would say I looked masculine, so I was always stressed... So since I was a student, I looked into double-jaw surgery, and I lived thinking I absolutely had to do it once I became an adult. Finally, I was in a position to have surgery, so I went for consultations at several hospitals. The last place I went was Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and because the atmosphere was different from the hospitals I had consulted at so far, they explained things well in detail, and the director felt more trustworthy, I scheduled the surgery date right on the day of the consultation and gradually went through the tests for surgery. That’s how I had double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring!
For a month after surgery, the swelling and bruising were so severe that I worried a lot about whether the surgery had gone wrong, and I slightly regretted my face changing so much. But now that I’m at 3 months, the swelling has definitely gone down a lot, and my face shape has changed to a rounder, softer look, so I really like it~ The hospital also said I’m healing well, and as for meals, I used to only eat porridge, but now I can eat meat, snacks, and all kinds of things~ Honestly, since it’s a face I see every day, I really noticed the major swelling going down, but the minor swelling wasn’t obvious, so I wondered if it was actually going down, but people around me were amazed and said even the subtle swelling had gone down a lot! As expected, waiting seems to be the answer! Recently, positive things that raise my self-esteem have been happening, like looking in the mirror or dressing up, so I’m satisfied in many ways! It will still take a little longer until I reach 6 months, but I want all the swelling to go down quickly haha!!
