It has been about 120 days since I had double eyelid revision surgery + lateral and lower canthoplasty + upper epicanthoplasty at ㅊㅇ Plastic Surgery
First of all, I’m very satisfied with the surgical results!! For the double eyelids, the swelling is going down slightly unevenly, but that’s because my eyes were originally uneven, and even when I had my first double eyelid surgery, the swelling went down unevenly ㅠ Other people can’t notice it, so I think it’s okay For the lateral and lower canthoplasty, before doing it I searched for a place famous for doing lateral and lower canthoplasty well and ended up going there, but I decided right away without getting consultations elsewhere, so at first I regretted whether I had chosen too hastily but the director’s lateral and lower canthoplasty skills are seriously good .. When I look at people around me who had lateral and lower canthoplasty, there wasn’t much difference from before and it closed back up quickly, so I asked for the lower canthoplasty to be done a bit excessively For lateral canthoplasty, the range that can be incised is set differently depending on each person’s eyes, so it couldn’t be widened much, but the lower canthoplasty was definitely widened
But there definitely are side effects 1. Because I widened the lower part a lot, before surgery the director said that since I have sunken eyes, the mucous membrane on the under-eye side could roll inward and the eyelashes might point upward, and asked if I was okay with that, but I just went ahead with it But it really did roll inward, so the lower eyelashes stand sharply upward But well, since my eyes got bigger, I think I can accept that 2. Because the eyes have been pulled downward, it’s hard to make smiling eyes So if your smiling eyes are pretty, please think very carefully about lower canthoplasty.. You really might regret it My eyes were severely narrow like cockleshell eyes, so even if I can’t make smiling eyes, I’m just going to deal with it 3. When I wear contacts, dry eye is worse than before I think this is okay if I don’t wear contacts
For the upper epicanthoplasty, my eyes were originally on the close-set side, but the front wasn’t opened, so the director recommended opening it more (he had very strong opinions), but I strongly opposed it, so we did it to the point where it barely shows At first, before the swelling went down, the front looked too close together and I thought my life was ruined, so I looked into epicanthoplasty reversal and cried for several days But after all the swelling went down, it doesn’t even look like it was opened and looks similar to before ㅋ ㅋ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’m regretting that I should have listened to the director and opened it a little more
Honestly, I thought about it a lot because of posts about lateral and lower canthoplasty side effects but after doing it, I feel like I should have done it earlier.. Still, side effects vary case by case, so I recommend thinking about it a lot..
