Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

After double jaw surgery and revision surgery, all I can think about is suicide…

Half a year ago, I had surgery at a university hospital in Seoul that is famous for double jaw surgery.

But when I reached the 2-month mark, it was discovered that one pin had broken and my jaw was fractured. One side was severely sunken in, and the stress was so extreme that I had revision surgery a month ago.

However, the sunken area was not completely improved, and rather, in the process of pulling it to refix one side, my jaw shifted and only asymmetry developed.

The doctor in charge only says that it can be refined later when the pins are removed.

Because of the stress, I can’t even go outside, and at work I have become extremely irritable and timid.

Looking back, I think they considered me just a troublesome case.

Why did you not show your face from outpatient visits to rounds starting the day after the first surgery? Why was there not even one consultation before refixation?

Did you think it was just a routine surgery, finished reasonably well, and that there probably wouldn’t be any major problem?

When my jaw fractured and the refixation was decided, did you just see me as an annoying and troublesome after-service case?

I spent 2 years gathering information and deciding, then endured 1 and a half years of orthodontic treatment and surgery, but it feels like God is telling me to die.

Everyone, if a hospital does not give proper explanations or there is a possibility of a problem, I think grabbing the doctor by the collar, shouting, and throwing things is the 'right' thing to do.

If you don’t, I think you end up like me, handled carelessly and 'processed' as a troublesome case when a problem occurs.
