I had surgery at one of the five university hospitals in Seoul that anyone considering double-jaw surgery would likely have looked into. The surgery was completed well, but when I checked two months later, one side of my jaw was broken.
At first it wasn't noticeable, but as the swelling gradually went down, my jaw was deeply sunken in.
I was so depressed and struggling that I had revision surgery about half a year later. However, the restoration of the sunken part of my jaw was only minimal, and instead, as the jaw was refixed to one side, my chin tip shifted, leaving only asymmetry.
The professor just says I can have it trimmed after one year. He says it can be shaved down.
What if shaving it makes it look unnatural?? Then would I need reconstruction? And if they need to cut into the flesh again, do I have to wait another year?
I can only think that God has abandoned me, and I am considering suicide.
