The doctor is already really famous for rhinoplasty... and my friend had a huge success at this hospital before I did... I had no intention of getting surgery anywhere else, so I went for a consultation, booked right away, and went ahead with the surgery..
My original nose was small and low, and my skin was on the thinner side, so it was already a difficult case for surgery. Because of concerns about future side effects + getting as much height as possible, etc., I had surgery with donated costal cartilage, autologous dermis, silicone, and columella lifting. It was my first plastic surgery everㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had no knowledge at all, so I didn’t even ask how many mm of silicone they were using and just lay down... I found out after the surgery that they had put in 5 mm... because my nose was so low... But it doesn’t look overdone at all... It’s to the point where I’m like, this is 5 mm?... So for people who only hear the mm number and go, “Heeek~~~~?” it’s not a bad idea to think about just how low your own nose is. For me, it was honestly beyond the level where rainwater would collect on my nose; I even wonder if it was a little sunken...
Because of swelling and bruising, even before surgery I bought and started taking swelling-reduction meds, Newvein and Bruna (Danggwisusan) in advanceㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋAnd I bought Fox Tea and drank it until I felt like my stomach would burst... (Right after rhinoplasty, because you breathe through your mouth due to the nasal packing, your mouth gets really, really dry, so instead of water, I highly recommend Fox Tea since it’s good for swelling...) That’s all I took... I had surgery in August, and it was so hot in summer that going for walks was out of the question.. And they say you have to sleep sitting up and all that, but my nose was already blocked, and being told to sleep sitting up in hot weather was basically torture. In the end, whether my swelling didn’t go down because I couldn’t sleep or didn’t go down because I slept lying down, it felt the same, so I was like whatever and just slept lying down... Maybe because I took the meds diligently, I barely had any swelling or bruising... Take your meds diligently... seriously. Oh, one hard thing was the dry mouth from the nasal packing, and since it was summer for me... sweat built up inside the splint and it was insanely itchy, but I couldn’t scratch it. That was the hardest part... After the packing was removed, it was really manageable.
I had no bruising at all.. Swelling was slight on days 2~3 and then went down well, so right after removing the splint I put on makeup and went out. I was aiming for a very dramatic line, so anyone could tell I had rhinoplasty, but I’m still extremely satisfied...!
But people who are going to have surgery with donated costal cartilage should really think a lot about itㅜㅜ The fact that you have to treat your nose like a sacred treasure, and you can’t pick your nose freely or touch it easily... I don’t regret it, but I do think I should have thought about it a little more.
Oh, as for the price, this director is so confident in himself that there are no discounts... It was my first surgery, and with an acquaintance referral + review condition, I got 1 million won taken off the 5 million won estimate and had surgery for 4 million won... For a first surgery where I didn’t shave any bone and only raised the height, it is a bit expensive... but I absolutely don’t regret it. If I ever get revision surgery, I’ll definitely do it here too...
