Vision in both eyes -6.5 / no astigmatism. A lot of friends who had LASIK in their early 20s before had their vision get worse again. I thought vision correction surgery would also develop technologically, so I waited over 10 years and then got the surgery before I got any older. In the past, if your vision was too bad you couldn’t even get LASIK, but a friend with worse vision than mine got LASIK. I got LASEK to be a bit safer. The first four days hurt like death. Final corrected visual acuity 1.0. After looking around here and there, I decided on a place that wasn’t too extremely factory-like. I realized how bad contact lenses are for the eyes. If anything, my eye dryness is less after LASEK. But presbyopia will probably come soon..
