I went to the hospital today, had the splint removed, and also took off the ear bandage. After surgery, they had packed cotton all the way deep inside my nose for two days, and that drove me crazy.. I barely slept for two days, and it felt like my nostrils were going to burst.. After two days, I went as soon as the hospital opened and had the cotton removed first.. Because of the cotton, I honestly couldn’t feel any other pain at all.
Starting from the first night, the swelling slowly came up, then on the second day I passed the Avatar stage and turned into a fish-faced person. My face felt bruised, like I had been beaten up. Even during consultations, I had heard that removal surgery involves a lot of dissection because of the capsule, so it swells more than rhinoplasty, but I bleed a lot during surgery and bruise easilyㅜㅜ On the third day, the eye swelling went down a bit and the bruising felt like it was gradually moving downward. By the fourth day, the bruises turned yellow and the swelling moved down to my cheeks, so my face looks like I’m storing food in my cheeks..
Medpor had pierced through the inside of my nose, and I was in a state of chronic inflammation with contracture. So I had all contaminated implants removed and, together with that, had new ear cartilage harvested for revision surgery to lower the nasal tip. When the splint came off and I saw it, my nasal bridge was totally Avatar-like.. They removed a lot because I had a lot of scar tissue, and they said blood had collected in my nasal bridgeㅜㅜ The director put a bandage on my nasal bridge and pressed it, and it really hurt so much.. I’m going in the day after tomorrow to have the stitches removed, and I hope all the collected blood drains by then.
Also, maybe because it’s still very swollen, my nasal tip is still lifted a lotㅜㅜ My upper lip is extremely swollen too, but once the swelling goes down, it will come down, right..? For those who had this done, does it come down..?? I just want to stop touching my face and live comfortably with this nose until I become a grandmother..
Oh, if anyone knows how to manage pooled blood in the nasal bridge so it goes away faster, please leave a commentㅜㅜ
