Last March, I got double eyelid surgery and lower eyelid fat repositioning together at Yejin Plastic Surgery. I wanted a double eyelid line like Im Bora’s, so I searched a lot for clinics that were good at it. Honestly, there are a lot in Seoul, you know, clinics famous for double eyelids.
For online searching and consultations, I visited mostly clinics that had many recommendations, but for the actual surgery, I wanted a director with a lot of experience.. At least 15 years, even at the very least?? But the place where I had surgery had over 24 years of experience alone, so I had a good feeling from that point!!
This probably applies to everyone, but not just in plastic surgery, in any kind of work, whether it’s office work or running your own business, I really think experience can’t be ignored. Just like it’s natural to want to entrust something to someone experienced rather than a newcomer (beginner).
Of course, I know that no matter how experienced someone is, nobody is perfect. On the other hand, I also think plastic surgery involves luck.. Even if people get surgery from the same director, one person can turn out well and another can be dissatisfied, like thatㅜㅜ So I was prepared. I always thought it wasn’t just someone else’s problem and that it could happen to me too. Of course, I also researched hard so that kind of situation wouldn’t happen haha
And on the consultation day, I got to see the director’s face, and he looked exactly like he did on YouTube lolololol I got a lot of help from cafes and this community too, but I also happened to watch YouTube and watched whenever I had time because there was so much I didn’t know about plastic surgeryㅜ It felt like studying while getting information.. But he looked exactly the same as in the videos. lol If you’re curious, search for it~ It came up right away. I think it’s important to get an idea of what kind of director they are before going to the consultation.
At first, I hesitated because I thought he specialized in noses, but that was my misunderstanding. He specialized in eyes and noses.. Seeing that many people went there not only for primary surgery but also for revision surgeries like double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction, I think that’s when I finally felt reassured.. since my main goal was my eyes..
Anyway, that’s enough small talk lololol The reason I decided was that when I went for the consultation, my first impression and first feeling were good. The process goes chart writing > director consultation > consultant consultation.
And he listened to me well. Usually they just ask, what do you want to do? Then when I answer, they just talk nonstop by themselves only about that part.. while I’m still confused.. But Director Lee Yejin felt like he was having a conversation??? I would ask, the director would answer, then I’d ask again and he’d answer again.. like this. It didn’t feel like the director was just talking alone, but like he was sincerely trying to understand what I wanted and what I needed. Of course there may be individual differences with each consultation, but that’s how it was for me.. So I asked everything I was curious about and felt relieved.
After finishing safely like that, I thought about it for a few days and eventually decided on this place haha Of course, I also worried a lot after getting double eyelid surgery and lower eyelid fat repositioningㅠㅠ The day of surgery was still okay, but from the next day, the swelling started getting really bad. I couldn’t open my eyesㅠ
Still, I kept only thinking that it would turn out well, that I would become prettier, and that I would be satisfied, and endured two months lololol I’m almost at month 3 now lololololol Personally, I’m satisfied. I like it. As I said above, his skills were good, and I was lucky to meet a good director~! That’s the fact.
Everyone, if you’re looking into clinics for eyes, consider this place too. It’s in Apgujeong, and since it’s a private clinic, it’s clean and nice~ Of course, everyone may feel differently, so just use it as a reference..!
