Around last December, I got Botox for the first time in my life. I had already been dieting, but there wasn’t much change in my lower face, so when there was a Botox promotion, I got it done, and it was more effective than dieting. When I met people after dieting, no one said my face had lost fat, but starting about a month after getting Botox, everyone I met said my face looked smaller. At my first consultation, they said my jaw muscles were large and told me to come back the next month for another session, but I didn’t think that was really necessary, and I was worried about developing resistance, so I got my 2nd session after 5 months had passed. Before getting it done, the consultation manager felt my jaw muscles and said I had come at the right time. (I think it’s good to go get it done when, based on your own judgment, it feels like the muscles have come back.) For the 2nd session, it felt like the muscles shrank faster than the 1st time, and unlike before, the area around my temples didn’t hurt. It seems like my chewing muscles adapted somewhat. Still, when I eat chewy or hard foods, I can feel that my strength is weaker. This time I also got contouring injections together... hmm... not really? They hurt more than Botox, but the effect lasted maybe 3-4 days?? Later, I’m planning to tidy things up once with InMode.
