I have a hump nose and already have some nasal bridge height, so I’m mainly looking into hospitals that do implant-free surgery~
The places I’ve been to so far are ㅈㅇㅈㅇ, ㅊㅇ, and ㅇㄴㅂ, three places, but I wasn’t satisfied with the consultations, so I’m looking into more hospitals and have consultations booked at ㅂㅌㅇ, ㅇㅂㅅ, and ㅇㅂㄹ.
I first had a consultation at ㅊㅇ (ㅂㅇㄱ), whose reviews I liked the most, but I felt like too much was being added. They said my nose was deviated and my hump wasn’t severe, so they would shave the hump, use a very small amount of postauricular fascia at the glabella, and use ear cartilage and autologous dermis for the nasal tip as the basics, but besides that, a lot of other things were added. Also, they said if a step-off occurs, it can’t be helped and I should be aware of that, so I asked whether it could be bad enough to need revision surgery after surgery, and they said it could be, and that it’s something they tell patients in advance. Somehow it didn’t really inspire strong trust.
At ㅇㄴㅂ, they similarly said it wasn’t to the point of needing osteotomy, and that shaving the hump and putting silicone in the nasal bridge would look very pretty, and that implant-free surgery wouldn’t work. They said my glabella is low, so it needs to be raised to around the level of the hump, and suggested using a silicone implant. When I asked whether it was true that the previous hospital said my nose was deviated, they said no one has perfectly matching left-right proportions, and since it isn’t severe, it would be fine after surgery.
At ㅈㅇㅈㅇ, they said if I shave the hump and then add something again to the glabella, my nose will look even longer, so we should just shave it. They said it probably wouldn’t look visibly bumpy, but if it bothers me, I could choose to use an implant. When I asked if my nose was deviated, they said it was okay. They said they would do nasolabial angle correction and use septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip, so I asked if it was true that the nasal tip could droop later, and they said it depends on the case, and then suggested using donated costal cartilage. They understood the shortcomings of my nose the best, but the consultation felt too rushed, and only the consultation with the consultant was long, so I didn’t fully trust it and decided to keep going around for more consultations. The price ranges were all the same They were really, really the same, to the point that it felt strange
After receiving consultations at three places, the consultation details were all completely different, so I got worried and am writing this to get help from this community
