Liposuction Reviews

Review of LAMS on Back and Love Handles

I finally got LAMS done... the lifelong assignment of dieting.

In my 20s, I lost weight as much as I tried, but the weight I suddenly gained in my 30s just would not come off. I work out, and since my muscle mass has always been on the good side, muscle builds up quickly, but body fat doesn’t go down. I worked out intensely for almost 3 years, but I lost about 3 kg and then nothing more.. I tried tightening my diet too, but once I rotated the diet back, I immediately returned to my maintenance weight, and it was so stressful. My personal trainer also said I’d probably have to do an extreme amount of cardio or reduce my diet extremely for a long period, but that it’s practically impossible while having a social/work life, so trying liposuction might be okay.. So I went straight to a LAMS center, paid, and waited until the procedure date lol. It was peak season, so I couldn’t do it right away and waited a month.

I’m doing my back and arms on separate dates, and the consultant called me in the middle and said even if they say I can do them together at once, absolutely don’t do that.. Maybe it’s because the amount of care put in becomes different? When I saw people who did both together, they said it took 4 hours. I also thought maybe if the doctor’s stamina runs out, they might do it roughly lol. So I’m doing my back and love handles, and then arms next week.

There were reviews saying it hurts... but since it’s not surgery, shouldn’t I be able to tolerate this level of pain? I’m really good at tolerating pain, but it did hurt a bit lol. They said there are individual differences when the fat-dissolving solution goes in. Since I have a lot of back muscle, I felt quite a lot of pain like the flesh and muscle were being separated? They said if it’s just fat, it doesn’t hurt much. The doctor said while doing it that I had built my back muscles well.... They complimented me a lot, so I felt proud.. Then what if this whole bulk is all muscle They were kind during the consultation too, and during the procedure they really extracted it carefully, every little area. I could feel everything being sucked out, like I had become a balloon. They took out about 3 more bottles beyond the prepared bottles and extracted it all. Maybe that’s why afterward, none of the solution leaked out for me. For the back bulge, bra line, and love handles together, they extracted 17 bottles, and they said that was a lot!

I’m taking a medication called Concerta, so I was prescribed Saxenda, and I also started Saxenda after paying about 100,000 won. Appetite was never really the problem, but they said since I’m doing it, I should do it thoroughly.. Losing weight costs a lot of money, but I decided to just think of it coolly as similar to paying for 5 months of personal training.

I’ll do my arms next week and write another review.
