Before <left> After <left> Before <right> After <right>• Reasons I decided on nose surgery 1. Nasal tip drooping when smiling and spreading nostril wings 2. A deviated nose noticeable in appearance (nasal obstruction on one side). These were the two things I most wanted to correct (I did not want to raise the nasal bridge or have a flashy look).
• Consultation I went around to 6 places for consultations, and the moment I met the director, I just felt this was the placeㅋㅋ Unlike other clinics, they did not take a CT scan; the director used instruments to check the condition inside my nose and the firmness of my nasal septum. The consultation time with the director alone was nearly 30 minutes. He didn’t just look at my nose, but talked about my overall facial bone structure and asymmetry issues while pointing out the limitations, and that really made me trust him. There really wasn’t anyone who gave as thorough a consultation as Director Lee Joo-cheol. The coordinator in charge was also meticulous and warm during the consultation, so I paid part of the reservation deposit that same day.
• Surgery review Autologous costal cartilage was used, and since I did not want silicone, we decided to leave the nasal bridge as it was. He also recommended nostril reduction, so I had that done too. (I’m glad I listened to the director.) After surgery, the best parts are that the columella became firmly supported, reducing the spreading of the nasal tip, and that correction of the deviated nose eased my facial asymmetry. Thanks to my nose, my face has more three-dimensionality, and I feel like my protruding chin has improved too. I’m ve~ry satisfied.
• Swelling I’m currently on day 12 after surgery, and there is still swelling at the nasal tip and some slight bruising on the nasal bridge. Watching nose surgery vlogs on YouTube, the swelling after surgery looked enormous.. so I was bracing myselfㅋㅋ But from right after surgery until now, my eyes have never swollen, and I had no bruising except around my nose. I heard that swelling and bruising vary depending on the surgeon’s skill during surgery (meticulous hemostasis, etc.), so it seems the director was extremely meticulous.
I’m grateful to Director Lee Joo-cheol, who was meticulous not only with the surgery but also with both pre- and post-operative care, and overall I felt that everyone at the clinic was kind. It was my first surgery, and I liked that they treated me warmly :-)
