Hello. This surgery was done too long ago to really call this a review. These days many people get double-jaw surgery, but when I had mine done, square jaw surgery was common. At that time, I had square jaw surgery, Gore-Tex paranasal augmentation, and fat grafting. There were some parts I didn’t like and I had side effects, but overall I was satisfied. Even now, I think I did well to have the surgery. And as I’ve lived my life, from my early to mid-30s, I’ve been getting fillers and Botox. For the first few years, fillers looked pretty, made me look younger, and I was satisfied, but now I don’t know if I had too much put in, but when I smile my face becomes lumpy, and the filler I had put in the nasolabial folds seems to have shifted and moved above the wrinkle, making the nasolabial folds look even deeper, or maybe the filler moved downward, or maybe because I had orthodontic treatment and my mouth moved inward, or maybe for both reasons, on both sides around my mouth, the deep cheek area has started to protrude slightly like a bulldog. ㅠㅠ I’m so upset because of this that I want to have deep cheek fat removal surgery or a thread lift. The conclusion I reached is that it’s okay to keep getting Botox, but fillers should stop after the first one or two times. What I mean is, if you keep getting facial fillers every year just because an area looks a little sunken, as you age, the filler moves and becomes lumpy. Hospitals tell you not to worry because filler gets absorbed by the body and disappears, right? I was told that too. But that is a total lie. It absolutely does not disappear 100%. I’m leaving this post because I hope the smart members here won’t make the same mistake I did.
