This is my first surgery, and I basically looked into it thinking of non-incisional double eyelid surgery (natural adhesion).
TOS: Natural adhesion 900,000 + lower canthoplasty 1,300,000 (about 20% discount each if writing an app review) Consultation went in the order of consultant, doctor, consultant. They said it would take about an hour and a half including waiting, and it really did take about that long; Director Seo looked at everything in great detail. He measured my eye length and height in millimeters and showed me this kind of look, and I felt like he would really perform surgery well too.. but I wondered if he had come from another field, since he only obtained his plastic surgery specialist qualification this year, so I hesitated about surgery and passed.. He also said things like even incisional double eyelids can loosen in 2-3 years, so I wondered, can they really loosen that quickly? I was recommended lower canthoplasty to match the amount of visible sclera behind the pupil. There was no pressure, and he said if I was hesitant, I could try natural adhesion first and come back later for lower canthoplasty.
MB: Natural adhesion 924,000 + upper canthoplasty 550,000 The hospital lobby is narrow, so it feels chaotic; I requested Director YGH on the day of the consultation and had the consultation with him, and the doctor's consultation was about 10? 15? minutes. He asked if I had a desired line and photos, so I showed him the celebrity photo I had brought. He said the line I wanted (semi-out) was possible, but because the left and right epicanthal folds and eyelid-opening strength were different, I would need to add upper canthoplasty to match the starting height of the double eyelid at the inner corners. He kept re-drawing the left and right lines, and when I said I was okay with a certain amount of difference, he said then just double eyelid surgery would be fine too. The consultant consultation was the friendliest. She first explained the surgery process and how things would proceed on the day of surgery, but the hospital has many foreign patients and feels hectic..
YZ (Apgujeong): Non-incisional 1,000,000 + ptosis correction 500,000 (consultant's discretionary discounted price, 1,400,000 including VAT) Maybe because it is a private clinic, the wait was the shortest. They said if I wanted a semi-out line, there was a high chance it would loosen, so I should do ptosis correction together.. If the other two hospitals were like, "You don't necessarily need canthoplasty, and if you want to match left-right symmetry, then do canthoplasty too," here the director + consultant consulted in a way that felt like doing ptosis correction together. I had also watched the doctor's personal YouTube, and when doing canthoplasty, he said he "overcorrects by about 20%" considering that the thread tension will loosen, so I felt it did not suit me and decided not to do it here.. I would rather have it loosen than be overcorrected TT.. They said that in cases of protruding eyes, there is usually little excess skin, so even if doing an incision, it should be done without skin excision. And as you age, the skin above protruding eyes hollows out, so even people who naturally had double eyelids can have them loosen. The AS period was 3 years! Other places were 1 year each, in cases of asymmetry or loosening. It seems the price included all costs for eye-shape care at stitch removal and at 1, 3, and 6 months. There was a 10,000 won consultation fee. According to the consultant, they only do exactly two surgeries per day.
There are three more hospitals I looked into..
The hospital I had been looking forward to the most during consultations ended up being the worst fit, so I wondered, is there any point in seeing more hospitals after this? So I put down a reservation for August 4! The remaining places are either so popular that just booking a consultation takes 1 month, or they are located outside Seoul, so if I have consultations 2 or 3 weeks later, I won't know when I can have surgery during peak season, and I naturally gave up on them.
