1. Gangnam ㅇㅈ Plastic Surgery / time required about 1 hour 10-30 minutes The hospital is huge. There were really a lot of people, and many foreigners too. The order was manager > director > manager consultation, and the total waiting time was almost 30 minutes.. seems like a characteristic of large clinics. You change into a gown, but there’s no locker.. You just put your clothes into a shopping bag with the hospital logo and come out. Even while changing, a staff member is standing next to you watching, so privacy is a bit lacking. The director’s consultation was good. He personally explained things that a manager would usually explain, like CCTV, postoperative care, and anesthesia method. I hadn’t chosen an implant and asked for a recommendation. He said if I like a natural feel, I should go with Mentor. But he said it isn’t suitable for people with thin skin and a slim body -> conclusion: diagnosed with Motiva. I tried fitting the recommended size together with the manager. Oh, they also have 3D imaging here, but honestly it didn’t really resonate with me.. so pass. Conclusion: 340cc / subfascial / inframammary fold incision / AS coverage percentage is set by year.
2. Apgujeong ㅇㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery / time required about 45-50 minutes This hospital is also pretty big. If the previous hospital felt tall vertically, this one felt large sideways? haha Same order of manager > director > manager consultation, and they said something about a dual consultation, but I said I just wanted to receive it from one person. There was no wait. Here, before meeting the director, I first tried implant fitting with the manager. I had seen many photos from everyone here.. lol I also wore that cropped T-shirt, and the manager took photos with my phone. So they’re still on my phone lol The director explained the surgery while showing a PPT. He said Motiva or Mentor Xtra would be advantageous for my breasts. I was curious about Mentor Boost and asked, but it felt like he didn’t really recommend it? He said Mentor Xtra is better than Mentor Boost, and for my body, Motiva seems better than Mentor Xtra. He asked if I had thought about liposuction, so I said I had thought about arm liposuction, and he honestly said I’d see a better effect from accessory breast liposuction than arms. But honestly, the director didn’t leave a deep impression.. I felt the manager was extremely kind. If I said one thing, she responded with 200% empathy. 3. Sinsa ㅂㄴㄴ Plastic Surgery / time required about 1 hour Among the previous hospitals, it was the smallest in scale, but I was surprised because there were a lot of people. I thought the waiting would be awful here too, but after registering, I felt like I sat for about 10 minutes before they called my name. I undressed, took photos, and had an implant consultation with the manager. Things like whether I had a desired implant, what size I was thinking of? When I went to the previous hospitals, I hadn’t decided anything, so I felt like I only heard about Motiva too much. So I intentionally said I wanted to look at options excluding Motiva. The director measured my body size and we matched the size again. He asked if there was a size I wanted, and I said roughly a full C cup or D cup, so I tried fitting from 330 to 400cc. The fitting fit probably isn’t exact, but judging only from that, I liked 375cc the most. The director also said that rather than unconditionally going big, he thinks the most ideal breasts are ones with good left-right symmetry and a natural I-shaped cleavage. Oh, and I also asked about subfascial placement, and he recommended dual-plane, saying if someone without much existing breast tissue has subfascial surgery, it shows a lot. I heard explanations about Mentor Smooth and Mentor Xtra, and Mentor Xtra’s feel was more to my taste, so I said I wanted to know the detailed cost for Mentor Xtra. The director and manager looked relatively younger than those at other hospitals. Conclusion: 375cc / dual-plane / inframammary fold incision / lifetime AS
4. Gangnam ㅁㅂ Plastic Surgery / time required about 1 hour 30-50 minutes I was really shocked. There are so many people here.. I got nervous wondering if they were all there for breast consultations, but it felt like people had gathered for eyes, nose, and breast consultations? But I waited over a full 40 minutes. Just when I thought I’d reached my limit, they called my name and the consultation started.. If you want to learn A to Z about breast surgery, I recommend going here for a consultation. The director really spends a long time on the consultation. To put it positively, he explains in detail; to put it negatively, it felt like he kept.. repeating the same things. Like at the previous hospitals, I said I wanted to look excluding Motiva, but I think the director explained only the advantages of Motiva for over 10 minutes. In the end, he did diagnose me with Mentor Xtra, but I could still feel a bit that he was pushing Motiva. His way of speaking is very soft and quiet, so sometimes I couldn’t hear well and had to ask, “Sorry?” “Yes?” again.. Still, I was able to get a lot of information about breast surgery, and he gave the consultation with a lot of sincerity.. so I don’t regret going. Oh, the director said I should have surgery through the transaxillary incision rather than the inframammary fold. Oh, this place is next to Five Guys. I was going to eat a hamburger after the consultation, but the wait + consultation took so long that I got exhausted and just went home.. haha Conclusion: 360cc / dual-plane / transaxillary incision / AS 1 year
5. Wrap-up As I kept writing, it got so long that my mind is getting dazed.. To roughly summarize based on the diagnoses I received, by 3:1 I narrowed it down to dual-plane rather than subfascial, and inframammary fold rather than transaxillary. I’m still thinking about the implant, but considering cost + feel, I’m more drawn to Mentor Xtra than Motiva. Motiva feels more chewy/elastic, while Mentor Xtra feels slightly softer and squishier.. I definitely felt a difference in texture. I’ll exclude hospitals that throw out absurdly high costs, and I’m deciding between the final two places. I’m going to review the diagnoses I received myself and choose carefully.
