Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

First nose surgery and full-face fat grafting

For reference, my surgery was specifically with the hospital’s two representative directors, so there were no discounts or events, and I had no obligation to write a review, but it was such a good experience that I wanted to share it with everyone here ^^

I live in the U.S. and I am 52 this year. My plastic surgery history: incisional double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty at age 19, Botox since age 45, one full-face fat grafting procedure in 2018, and nose filler twice.

Since last year, my face started sagging rapidly, and the filler I had injected into my nose began spreading, moving down to the nasal tip and columella. Functionally, breathing through my nose became slightly difficult... so I started searching.

Because I live overseas, I wasn’t in a situation where I could visit many places for consultations. So I made the decision after analyzing, almost excessively, my own research, before-and-after photos, the doctors’ experience, the cases they were especially good at, their design style, their tendencies, the tone of their YouTube content, and so on. I designated the doctors right away without an in-person consultation and scheduled the surgery date through KakaoTalk.

I booked the surgery with Manager Han, who handles online consultations, and discussed the necessary information and questions through KakaoTalk. For about a month, Manager Han worked hard answering my KakaoTalk messages. Every time I messaged, she was always kind and helped me with quick replies without making me wait. Thank you ^^.

I arrived in Korea at 6 a.m., and on the same day, checked in at the hospital at 9:30 a.m. and went into surgery at 11 a.m.

Before surgery, I first consulted with Director Jeon Yong-hoon, then with Director Kim Hyung-jun. Both of them were not very talkative, and honestly, I liked that. In my experience, doctors who talk too much are not great. They told me only the facts accurately, and since it matched what I wanted, a long consultation wasn’t necessary.

The surgery consultant, Manager Yoon, was experienced, honest, and straightforward. There was no unnecessary explanation, and she was truly neat and professional. She was also very warm and had a genuinely humane feeling.

All the nurses in the operating room were kind. While I was making small talk with the nurses, Director Jeon Yong-hoon came in and light anesthesia was started. In my case, the liposuction had to be done while lying face down, so for breathing safety, the anesthesia was not deep. I could feel some of the procedure process, but there was zero pain. Before the nose surgery, they woke me up a little from the anesthesia. I regained consciousness briefly, then Director Kim Hyung-jun came in, and I fell into a deep sleep again.

After surgery, I had no pain at all. I had read reviews from several hospitals saying blood flows from the nose for a few days, but I had no bleeding at all. However, for about 4 days, the swelling and bruising were tremendous, and I am originally the type who bruises easily. From day 5, it was hard because the area with the splint became itchy. It is seriously itchy~ Since it was part of the wound recovery process, I endured it while applying cold compresses.

I had a very slightly bumpy hump nose, and my nasal bridge was not on the low side. I asked for an image like Shin Se-kyung or Lee Hyori, and showed photos saying I hoped the columella and nasolabial angle would look pretty more than just having a high nasal tip. Since I had nose filler twice before, the director said he opened my nose and fought a war with the filler. He said my nose height had been a scam caused by the filler haha. Septal cartilage, donated costal cartilage, and 6 mm silicone were used.

Because I had to leave Korea soon to go back overseas, the dedicated postoperative nurse, Nurse Yoo, who removed the stitches and cotton packing, made appointments for me every day so I could receive swelling treatment. Nurse Yoo is really so wonderful. Since I was going to the hospital every day, I became attached in that short time...

On day 7, the splint finally came off... I was completely shocked. Honestly, it was beyond my expectations: the line and height were so perfect, and there was not even one spot that bothered me. And Director Jeon Yong-hoon too... the areas where fat was suctioned had no bruising and no pain, and the facial contour after fat repositioning looked so refined and younger. Especially the jawline, under-eye fat, and nasolabial folds... I was reborn.

But... that happiness lasted only a moment... Director Kim Hyung-jun touched the area between my eyebrows and said there was a slight blood collection. He said this amount would go away, but still, let’s remove it. Then, gasp... in an instant he came toward me with a syringe and removed it right away... Of the 7 days after surgery, the pain that day was the worst... It hurt so, so much. To my eyes, there was no swelling at all, but it seems it was caught by the director’s radar. In the end, I had to wear the splint again for 2 more days... I had made a full schedule to meet friends before leaving Korea, but I ended up going out with the splint on. What was even funnier was that even with the splint on, my friends made such a fuss saying I had become so pretty... If I had gone out after removing the splint, I might have knocked them all dead.

Two days later, the director checked after removing the splint and said, “Now let’s take the splint off~” I was so happy. From the day of surgery, over 9 days, the director checked my nose a total of 5 times. Even though there was no special problem, whenever he passed by and saw me, he would hold my nose once, check it, and move on... Director Jeon Yong-hoon also knew it was the day before I was leaving Korea, and without a separate appointment, he made time to recheck the fat placement.

I am now back in the U.S. and enjoying my daily life in a good mood.
