The director and the hospital staff were very kind. The surgeon looked a bit tired right after surgery, but even so, it was clear that they were trying to explain things sincerely. For the tip of the nose, they said autologous costal cartilage had to be used because, for a contracted nose, autologous costal cartilage is stronger and better at maintaining shape. For the bridge, they said silicone or donor dermis could be used. They said silicone looks prettier in terms of shape, but because this nose had already used silicone and had developed contracture once, they would open it up and, if it was severe, use donor dermis. For the uneven bumps that come out, they said they would adjust them later from the outside with injections after surgery, and use laser on the surgical marks. Overall, the staff and the director were all kind, and I was impressed by how sincerely they consulted with me. I still have not decided on the surgical materials, but if donor dermis is acceptable, this hospital seems pretty good too.
