Before before before after after after I had a severe protruding lower jaw since I was young, so I had orthodontic treatment in elementary school! But as I grew, my jaw inevitably came forward again I always thought I would need two-jaw surgery after the college entrance exam, and after it ended, I had two-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw_front chin) at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on December 14 last year!
I wondered when even one month after surgery would pass, but I guess enduring really is the answer. After waiting and waiting, I’m already at the 2-month mark,, Since there was nothing I could eat for 2 weeks after surgery, I lost about 7 kg,, lol Of course, later when I was able to eat again, I think I gained about 3 kg back
For about 1 week after surgery, it was really hard,, The swelling kept getting worse, and breathing and sleeping were difficult, so I spent painful days, but after 1 week it gets much more comfortable!
For meals, during weeks 1-2 I only had things like New Care, thin rice gruel, orange juice, etc., and from 2 weeks to 1 month I cut all noodles into small pieces to eat!! I think I ate a lot of pasta and risotto lol After starting orthodontic treatment after 1 month, I ate everything except hard and tough foods!!
While going to follow-up appointments, I saw the before-and-after photos, and for some reason I felt embarrassed and awkward lol
Like, ah, did I look like that? lol My satisfaction is that high, and I think my self-esteem has gone up a lot too! People around me often say my impression looks better, and especially my family says I look similar to when I was young! They say the effect is big even before the swelling has gone down,,bb..
I wasn’t confident about my side profile, but now I’ve gained confidence, my self-esteem has gone up, and I’m 200% satisfied! hehe
I went to consultations at many other hospitals too, but Y was as thorough with consultations and also good with care and communication after surgery, so I was satisfied! I hope the swelling all goes down quickly!!!
