After <front view, post-op day 5> after <side view> before <same day as surgery - before (left), after (right)> It has been 5 days since my nostril reduction.. I'm just waiting for the day after tomorrow, when the stitches come out!
First of all, maybe because of my constitution, my recovery is really, really good..
There’s been no pain or bruising after surgery at all - that really says a lot about the surgeon’s skill too. There’s a little swelling, but... just looking at the stitch lines, they’re so neat and pretty that you can really feel how carefully and cleanly they were sewn.
Because the incision was only inside the nose... the stitches are dark, but they don’t stand out much.. and now there are no scabs at all.. so once the stitches come out and I put on a little makeup, I think I’ll be able to go out confidently?! Since it was only incised on the inside, I don’t think anyone will notice from the side at all, and even from the front, since it’s a shadowed area, I feel like it would be impossible to imagine anything unless someone put their eyes right up to my nose.
A friend of mine had nostril reduction with an incision along the side line too... and they often got folliculitis.. and if you look closely, you can see a slight scar, and when it’s cold, you can see it turning red.. so in that respect I feel a bit relieved.
Still, I’m not at the stage where I can feel completely safe about scars yet, so after searching online for scar ointment, I bought some directly from Germany.
A lot of people think nostril reduction is something simple. I used to think that too, and almost got it done anywhere. But since it’s surgery that changes the center of the face, and I’ve also seen how much people’s images change after nose surgery, I was scared and worried, so I did a lot of research and visited a lot of places.
After searching on YouTube and Naver, I found more regret and side-effect posts than I expected. Everyone, please study a lot before surgery~~~
I was about to give up, but then I decided not to get greedy and to go for something natural.. while looking for a clinic that would minimize scars, which is the most important thing. After the consultation with this doctor, I was so satisfied that I decided right away. The price was also very cheap.. but I didn’t choose because of the price, and it being cheap didn’t make me suspicious either. My friend had already had surgery at this clinic and it turned out really well... maybe that’s why... Also, they said my nose was one of the few that only needed nostril reduction?! so I felt secretly happy.
What I realized through my own studying before this surgery was..
Nostril reduction alone! is not a surgery everyone can do. It can be done. But a surgery done to become prettier can end up doing more harm than good. Don’t trust only your own judgment; consulting a trustworthy doctor is a must!! I almost did it at a clinic famous as a specialist in nostril reduction.. I had made a consultation appointment, but without even looking at my nose, they told me over the phone to pay the surgery deposit right away, so after thinking for a few days, I canceled the consultation.
Making the eyes, nose, and mouth all prettier does not automatically make you beautiful; above all, harmony matters! The most important thing in plastic surgery is the doctor’s experience and skill! The incision and suturing part is really, really x100000 important. During the consultation, the director personally drew on my face photo and explained the incision area while saying he would make the scar as invisible as possible.. that was so reassuring. When I see side-effect cases people end up with scars after surgery and emotional wounds too it’s heartbreaking.. No matter how pretty a nose shape is, if there’s a scar.. that scar will stand out first.
