Before / original nose: low bridge, slightly upturned, short and small nose Surgical nose: 5 mm silicone + septal support strut + nostril reduction + fat removal + tip suturing (I didn’t have inflammation-related side effects)
Hi everyone~ I got full nose removal today haha I had it done at a removal-specialized hospital in Hongdae, one of the three major ones. The reason is that even though it was my first nose surgery, I developed a granuloma inside my nose… But other removal-specialized hospitals said they couldn’t remove it together, so I was half-forced into doing it hereㅠㅠ
First of all, in conclusion, I’m satisfied! They didn’t put cotton packing inside my nose, so right now I can breathe through my nose too. It feels like I’m breathing in all the air in the world lol When I had my first nose surgery, I couldn’t breatheㅠㅠ Also, because they used thick silicone, my nose felt heavy, and even when sleeping, the sensation of it leaning to one side was really badㅠㅠ But as you can tell from the photo, since it was 5 mm after all, you can visibly see that my bridge got lower.. When I made it high during my first surgery, my eyes looked closer together, and I was happy like, nice, free epicanthoplasty, but that came back too lol
The cost was similar to other hospitals, but since I also had granuloma removal and reinforcement, it came out to about the number you get when you fully spread out the fingers of one hand.
At first, before going into surgery, I had one more consultation with the director. I begged, saying please, unless my nose is right about to collapse, please don’t reinforce it, I hate reinforcement, and he said okay lol But in the end, my septum wasn’t overharvested, but my columella was so crooked that if they didn’t reinforce it, my nose could become crooked, apparently. So they removed a very tiny bit~ and reinforced my columella with it, he said. My columella isn’t as soft as my original one and is firm, but I can still make a pig nose, and it was attached so minimally that I can’t even feel a foreign-body sensation? He said it won’t bother meㅠㅠ I just wanted everything fully removed, so that’s a shame.. But what can I do~
No but, it was my first time having sedation anesthesia, and I actually walked to the recovery room on my own feet… I was so surprised I think I woke up completely lol When I opened my eyes, I was on the operating-room bed, and they were still stitching my nose lololol I was so shocked and went, huh?!?! I’m awake?!?!?! and they said they were almost done and it was okay lol It didn’t hurt~ I recovered a bit and made it back safely~ Honestly, when I was lying on the operating table, I was scared and wondered if I should run away haha
If you’re curious about anything, ask me~ If it’s not a sensitive topic, please ask publicly. When I read other posts, private comments make me so curiousㅠㅠ
If I had to name a downside of this hospital, hmm.. The hospital where I had my first surgery was a large hospital, so it had a separate surgery floor, like an operating room in a drama? But here, you open a door next to the consultation room and ta-da, operating room~ So of course hygiene probably isn’t an issue, but as soon as I went in I was like, huh? lol Other than that, there isn’t anything. People say the director is scary, but I’m not sure.. All the hospitals I went to for consultations were similar. Maybe he’s like that when he’s tired sometimes? During the consultation, if I stared at him intently~ he would smile and stuff. When he was explaining things, I asked, is it sedation anesthesia? and he said yes, sedation anesthesia is~ and explained how it works and what happens, basically explaining everything. Personally, good!
