A month ago, I had my first surgery with silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage + nostril reduction. I really loved the shape after the surgery, but inflammation came very early on, so I had antibiotic treatment for about a month. While the swelling was improving, I saw silicone contracture reviews in a community and got so anxious that I just had the silicone removed right away.
During removal, the surgeon said it would be better to leave the nasal tip, so they repositioned the cartilage right away. As soon as the splint was taken off after removal, I burst into tears.. My nose had become an Avatar nose.. seriously, like a mudskipper. It looked so ugly..
In the photo after silicone removal, the redness at the nasal tip is surgical bruising, and it is week 1, but it already seems to have gone up. Could it be contracture or shrinkageㅜㅜ I really do not want another revision surgery, and if it is contracture, is there any way to stop it here.. The hospital where I had surgery says Rizaben and scar injections are all unnecessary, and that contracture comes gradually, but that feels so irresponsible.
I also want to check accurately whether any inflammation remains, but since it is only week 1 after surgery, maybe it is impossible to check yet. I heard that at some contracture-specialized hospitals in Seoul, they can culture the inflammation, identify what bacteria it is, and give customized antibiotics.
Does anyone know a contracture or reconstruction hospital that can identify inflammationㅜㅜ After my stitches are removed next week, I want to go straight to Seoul and get an accurate diagnosis. Once I had inflammation before silicone removal, all kinds of thoughts started running through my head. I thought it would be over once I removed it, but the worry about contracture is making me feel like I am going to lose my mind. I cry to my boyfriend every day too, and we are both exhausted..
My previous nose was not strange either, and I just want to go back to my low natural nose. I am so scared I honestly want to die.. ha Please help meㅜㅜ
