Following my rhinoplasty review, I’m going to write a review of the eye surgery I had at the same time.
I already wrote a long introduction for the rhinoplasty, so I’ll skip ahead to the main part!
I had medial canthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, lower canthoplasty, and double eyelid surgery.
For the lateral and lower canthoplasty, they felt around the bones at the outer side of my eyes and said it would be almost impossible, but my horizontal eye length was so short that I asked them to do it because I wanted to widen it. As expected, it didn’t really have much effect.
When I first had the double eyelid surgery, the left eye formed a good inner double eyelid, but the right eye stayed as an outer double eyelid even over time, as if it had just been done recently.
The medial canthoplasty did improve somewhat too, but it didn’t have a big effect, so I had the double eyelid surgery and medial canthoplasty done again.
It feels like about 7 years have passed, but my right eye still hasn’t become an inner double eyelid.... The front side has scarred, sigh... I really kept telling them from the start that I wanted medial canthoplasty and double eyelid surgery, but it turned out the same.
So I’m also looking into revision eye surgery.
